BEST MATCHUP
Plenty of candidates (Puyallup-Skyline, Decatur-Woodinville) exist, but the pick is the MCC/CBBN crossover tilt between Chiawana and Moses Lake, top 10-level squads. And the chess match of the Maverick's Air Raid passing attack, led by QB Brady Jay against a Riverhawks' secondary that doesn't give up a whole lot should be riveting.

SCORING POTENTIAL
Both 4A CBBN champion Eastmont (395.7 yards per game) and MCC playoff entrant Richland (419.7 ypg) led their respective leagues in total offense during the regular season. Their modes are drastically different - the Wildcats ride RB Gunnar Peterson in the run game while the Bombers let QB Josh Woodard do his thing.

GRINDER POTENTIAL
Defense is in the working DNA of both Sumner and Battle Ground, who do battle Friday night at Sunset Chev Stadium. Neither offense is going to put on a fireworks show. But the Spartans, led by FS Cooper Miller, and the Tigers, paced by DE Jacob Defrates, have no issues knocking ball-carriers on their keisters.

STANDOUT OF THE WEEK
The top three quarterbacks in the 4A SPSL - Graham-Kapowsin's Daveon Superales (330 passing yards, three TDs), Emerald Ridge's Jake Schakel (318 yards, five TDs) and Curtis' Rocco Koch (300 yards total offense, six TDs) all had big days against Olympia - which should bode well for Lake Stevens QB Kolton Matson's outlook.
