___

BEST MATCHUP

Both league runners-up - Bremerton in the Olympic League, and Renton in the 2A KingCo - want to run the football. Question is - can the Red Hawks stay disciplined enough to slow down the Knights' Wing-T attack, led by RB Jalin Littleraven-Oliver and FB Oliver Christian. Junior Patrick Turner gives speedy Renton offense juice.

___

SCORING POTENTIAL

Like tracking footballs in the air? Plenty of passes are expected to be thrown in the Highline-Steilacoom encounter (where Pirates are heavy favorites). The QB Ronan Rasmussen-to-ATH Marquawn McCraney combination for Highline is one of the best in Class 2A, but Sentinels' QB Drew McDonald is capable of matching that output.

___

GRINDER POTENTIAL

Woodland's perimeter playmaking ability is the biggest mismatch in the showdown against Rochester. But if the Warriors can stay out of an early deficit, slow down the pace and make the 2A GSHL champion defend their Power-T rushing attack, led by 1,000-yard rusher Tate Quarnstrom - things could get interesting.

___

STANDOUT OF THE WEEK

Very few players in the state can impact a game in every phases like North Kitsap's Logan Sloman, the reigning 2A Olympic MVP. He has scored 12 touchdowns on offense, and is an pass-grabbing machine at safety. And with White River expecting to feed passes to Tate Bowen, Sloman should get chances to make big plays.

___

WHO ADVANCES
