___

BEST MATCHUP

As a 50-16 winner earlier this fall, Wellpinit is a home favorite to beat Odessa. But it's hard to imagine the Tigers not making a better game of it. They will need to win ball-control game with RBs Corbyn Neilson and Chad Strebeck in effort to slow down faster Redskins squad, led by RB Andrew Moyer.

___

SCORING POTENTIAL

The last time Naselle and Quilcene hooked up, the teams combined for 106 points in the season opener -a 66-40 Comets' victory. QB Jacob Lindstrom and RB Jack Strange have combined for 37 rushing touchdowns, so it's up to the Rangers and QB Dominic Smith to keep pace.

___

GRINDER POTENTIAL

In flux early in 2023, Winlock and Tulalip Heritage think they've got things figured out heading into the playoffs. For the Cardinals, it was overcoming a rash of injuries, but QB Landon Cline and company have found a gear. And after starting as a pass-happy group, Tulalip Heritage has shifted more successfully into a power-running offense.

___

STANDOUT OF THE WEEK

This is an easy call - the Paz brothers of No. 1 Liberty Bell. QB Lucien Paz has 1,600 yards of total offense in six games - and 16 of his 20 touchdown passes have gone to ATH Remington Paz. They should have a field day against 1B Northeast runner-up Republic.
