The Florida High School Football FHSAA State Championships at Bragg Memorial Stadium are complete as we finish up our Player of the Week polls.

As such, we have 12 athletes nominated this week for the SBLive Florida FHSAA state championships football offensive player of the week award from December 7-9, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, December 16th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced next week.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are the nominations:

Alberto Mendoza, QB, Columbus: Mendoza couldn’t have had a better past few days. The quarterback led Columbus to the 4M state championship in a 38-19 win over Mandarin, throwing for 149 yards, one touchdown and rushing for 141 on the ground and then committed to Indiana over the weekend.

Jaime Ffrench, WR, Mandarin: The Alabama commitment wowed folks in attendance at Bragg Memorial Stadium with his playmaking abilities. Ffrench hauled in seven passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to Columbus.

Andrew Indorf, QB, St. Thomas Aquinas: In his first year as the starter, Indorf led the Raiders to South Florida’s first ever 5-peat. Indorf completed 11-of-19 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns in a 31-28 win over Homestead for the 3M title.

Joshua Townsend, QB, Homestead: The senior quarterback for the Broncos left it all out on the field in the loss to St. Thomas Aquinas. Townsend was spectacular, completing 25-of-36 passes for 286 yards, three touchdowns and also rushed for 75 and another score.

Dallas Golden, ATH, Berkeley Prep: Needing to have the game of his life, Golden was gold for the Buccaneers. The elusive runner carried the ball 24 times for 162 yards, a touchdown and also had 38 receiving yards and a score in the 28-20 2M state win over Miami Norland

Joseph Troupe, RB, Berkeley Prep: Right beside Golden for most of the game, earning hard fought yards was Troupe. The junior running back rushed for 130 yards on 23 carries and scored twice in the win over Norland. Also received an offer from Florida A&M after the game.

Jeremiah Smith, WR, Chaminade-Madonna: A man among boys is what Smith looked like in a 56-0 rout of Clearwater Central Catholic in the 1M state championship game. Smith, an Ohio State commitment, caught 11 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown.

Cedrick Bailey, QB, Chaminade-Madonna: Orchestrating the Lions’ offense as always, Bailey made it look easy. The NC State commitment completed 17-of-23 passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns.

D’Marius Rucker, RB, Lakeland: It was a scoring fest in Lakeland’s 60-48 rout of Venice for the Class 4S state championship and Rucker was at the head of it all. The tailback rushed for 209 yards and scored three touchdowns in the win for the Dreadnaughts.

Varian Terry, RB, Madison County: Despite coming in a losing effort, Terry had a solid game in a 22-13 loss to Hawthorne for the Class 1R state championship. Terry rushed for 117 yards on seven carries and scored two touchdowns.

Dennis Murray, QB, Mainland: Murray was that dude in Mainland’s thrilling 21-19 win over St. Augustine to land the Buccaneers their first state championship in two decades. The dual-threat quarterback had 392 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns.

Chris McCorkle, WR, Cardinal Mooney: When your only two catches are for touchdowns, you know you’re getting yourself open. McCorkle got behind the Trinity Catholic defense, notching 116 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-27 win for the 1S state championship. McCorkle received an offer Toledo not long afterwards.
