JC Anderson, Mount Zion boys basketball
The sophomore scored 16 points in a 62-50 loss to Peoria Richwoods in the IHSA Class 3A third-place game. He also had 17 points in a 65-49 semifinal loss to Mount Carmel and 20 in a 47-46 supersectional win vs. Centralia.
Grant Best, Mount Carmel boys basketball
The junior had a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds with three assists and three steals in a 56-46 supersectional win over St. Patrick in overtime. He also had 14 points in a 65-49 state-semifinal win against Mount Zion.
PJ Chambers, DePaul Prep boys basketball
The senior scored 18 points in a 51-31 Class 3A supersectional win against Crystal Lake South. He also had 15 points in a 52-41 state semifinal win vs. Peoria Richwoods and scored eight in a 49-41 victory over Mount Carmel in the title game.
Phoenix Childs, Phillips boys basketball
The junior had 13 points in a 54-47 win against Benton in the IHSA Class 2A state final. He also scored 21 in a 60-56 semifinal victory over Williamsville and had 24 points in a 73-58 supersectional win vs. Beecher.
Angelo Ciaravino, Mount Carmel boys basketball
The Northwestern recruit scored a game-high 24 points in a 49-41 loss to DePaul Prep in the IHSA Class 3A state final. He also scored 13 in a 65-49 semifinal against Mount Zion amd had 15 points, four rebounds, three assists and three blocks in a 56-46 supersectional win against St. Patrick in overtime.
Noah Cleveland, Normal boys basketball
The senior had a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds in a 60-48 loss to Homewood-Flossmoor in the IHSA Class 4A state final. He also had eight points and nine rebounds in a 58-38 semifinal win vs. Palatine.
Gianni Cobb, Homewood-Flossmoor boys basketball
The senior had 22 points in a 60-58 Class 4A supersectional win against Curie. He also had 12 points in a 40-35 semifinal win against New Trier and eight points in a 60-48 victory over Normal in the title game.
Zack Evans, West Central boys basketball
The senior scored 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a 62-43 win against Mounds Meridian in the IHSA Class 1A state final. He also scored 17 in a 70-65 semifinal victory vs. Aurora Christian.
Antonio Flenoid, Mounds Meridian boys basketball
The freshman had 13 points in a 62-43 loss to Mounds Meridian in the IHSA Class 1A state final and had a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds in a 68-60 semifinal win against Hope Academy.
Bryce Heard, Homewood-Flossmoor boys basketball
The junior had a double-double (21 points, 10 rebounds) as the Vikings beat Normal 60-48 to win the IHSA Class 4A title. He also had 16 points and seven rebounds in a 40-35 semifinal victory vs. New Trier.
EJ Horton, Phillips boys basketball
The junior scored 13 points as the Wildcats beat Benton 54-47 in the IHSA Class 2A state final. He also had a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds in a 60-56 semifinal win against Williamsville and scored 24 in a 73-58 supersectional win over Beecher.
Christopher Kirkpatrick, New Trier boys basketball
The sophomore had 22 points in a 65-41 Class 4A supersectional win against Glenbard North and scored 13 in a 40-35 state-semifinal loss to Homewood-Flossmoor. He also had eight points in a 53-35 win against Palatine for third place.
Lyncoln Koester, Mount Zion boys basketball
The junior had 16 points in a 62-50 defeat against Peoria Richwoods in the IHSA Class 3A third-place game, 13 in a 65-49 semifinal loss to Mount Carmel and 13 in a 47-46 supersectional victory vs. Centralia.
Makai Kvamme, DePaul Prep boys basketball
The junior had 18 points in a 49-41 win over Mount Carmel in the IHSA Class 3A title game. He also scored 15 in a 52-41 victory against Peoria Richwoods in the semifinals.
Chance Little, West Central boys basketball
The senior had 19 points in a 62-43 win over Mounds Meridian in the IHSA Class 1A state final and scored 33 in a 70-65 semifinal victory over Aurora Christian.
Connor May, Palatine boys basketball
The Washington University (Mo.) recruit had 17 points in a 58-38 loss to Normal in the IHSA Class 4A state semifinals. He also scored 21, including the game-winning basket, in a 55-53 supersectional win vs. Warren and had seven points and seven rebounds in a 53-35 loss to New Trier in the state third-place game.
Braylon Roman, Normal boys basketball
The senior had 18 points in a 60-48 loss to Homewood-Flossmoor in the IHSA Class 4A state final. He also had 19 points in a 58-38 semifinal win against Palatine.
Lathan Sommerville, Peoria Richwoods boys basketball
The Rutgers recruit had 22 points, nine rebounds and five blocks in a 62-50 win against Mt. Zion in the IHSA Class 3A third-place game. He also scored 18 in a 52-41 semifinal loss to DePaul Prep and had a double-double of 32 points and 12 rebounds in a 58-52 supersectional win vs. Thornton.
Jaheem Webber, Normal boys basketball
The Wright State recruit had a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds in a 58-38 Class 4A semifinal win against Palatine. He also scored 22 in a 53-29 supersectional victory vs. Downers Grove North.
