TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – This Florida Class 2S state championship showdown between Cocoa and Bradford is part of the 2023 Florida high school football championships, which will feature nine games over three days at Florida A&M University.

- One more play and its over. Cocoa goes back-to-back.

- Bradford completes a first down pass and then clocks it with one second left.

- The Tornadoes run a hook and latter out to the 33 for a first down.

- Bradford forces the turnover on downs and will get the ball back with 34-seconds to go. Cocoa has begun to celebrate.

- Cocoa comes up short on third down. It's fourth and three with under a minute to play.

- We have a timeout with 1:31 left.

- Lane picks up seven more.

- Lane makes a bruising first down run down to the 21. 2:05 left with the clock running.

- On second and 14, Lane gets a first down run. 3:17 and running.

- It's almost celebration time for Cocoa. They have it first and 10 at the Bradford 47.

- On third and 15, Shanks throws incomplete. It's fourth down with 3:54 left. The Tornadoes punt.

- Bradford gives up another five on a delay call.

- Coney runs for five and another first down. Time is out with 6:17 to play.

- Cocoa begins at its own 30 with a pair of runs. The Tigers are starting to work the clock.

- Shanks runs, but doesn't reach the line to gain. Cocoa takes over on downs once again. 7:52 left.

- Incompletion, now it's fourth and three.

- Cason rushes for a couple. It's third and three from the 30.

- Shanks runs for 11 before slipping. First down.

- Cummings makes a catch and run out to the 49. First down.

- Tigers knock Bradford back four with TFL by sophomore O'Keece battle.

- Shanks gains eight one first down.

- A short kick and the Tornadoes have it at their own 35.

- FIELD GOAL! Trout adds to the Cocoa lead with a 26-yard field goal. 11:07 left.

- Hart flips a shovel pass to Boggs, but he cannot get the first.

- Hart opens the fourth with an incompletion. It's third and eight and it's a timeout.

- Time expires on the third quarter as Cocoa is looking for a score that could put it in complete control.

- Boggs again for a first down at the 12.

- Boggs makes his ninth catch and its another Cocoa first down.

- Coney gains seven on first down. The Tigers are starting to wear down the Tornadoes.

- It is short and Cocoa will take over on downs with 2:05 left in the third quarter at the 44 of Bradford.

- Shanks runs for it, and looks to be inches short. The officials are going to measure.

- Pollard runs for three. It's fourth and one.

- Cummings makes a quick grab in the flat. The Tornadoes have third and four from their 41.

- After the kickoff, Bradford is at its own 35, with under four minutes to play in the third quarter.

- FIELD GOAL! Gunnar Trout boots it through the uprights from 25-yards. Cocoa is now up by two scores.

- Bragg runs right on the halfback option, doesn't throw and gets down to the five.

- Hart scoops up a low snap and sprints up the middle to the 10.

- Hart's throw to the right is low and incomplete. 5:31 left in the third quarter.

- On first and 10 from the 11, there is another false start call. 

- Hart to Boggs again for a shot gain. He then looks outside to Teeter who is interfered with. The Tigers will get half the distance and a first down. Timeout.

- Boggs scampers to the 36 on a catch and run. Bragg, Hart's favorite target then converts the first down at the 27.

- Flags, flags and more flags. Illegal procedure on Cocoa.

- Pee Wee Robertson records sack and Bradford punts. It's a short kick and Cocoa will get it back at the Bradford 39.  7:52 left in the third quarter.

- Pollard runs out to the original line of scrimmage with a nice run. Third and 10. Timeout Tornadoes.

- The Bradford offense continues to sputter. False start makes it second and 23.

- Hawkins-Ingram is living in the Bradford backfield. He makes another tackle for loss.

- INTERCEPTION! Chalil Cummings makes Hart pay for throwing into coverage downfield. Bradford take over at their own 30.

- Bragg makes another first down catch, out at the Cocoa 45.

- Hart throw to the right and Teeter grabs it for a seven-yard gain. Third and three.

- Hart throws on first down. It is deflected and nearly intercepted. Second and 10.

- Bradford kicks it to Cocoa to start the second half. The Tigers will start at their 22.

HALF 2Q: COCOA 14, BRADFORD 6

- Second half kickoff is just moments away.

- Cocoa has the big statistical edge in offensive numbers at the half and Bradford has surrendered 71 penalty yards, yet only trails by one score.

- Hart takes a knee and that wraps up the first half.

- Bradford punts and Cocoa gets it back, at its 16, with 31 seconds on the clock.

- Shanks throw to Kellum is broken up and now its fourth down.

- Shanks cannot connect with Michael Oliver in a throw downfield. It's third down and 24 with 49 seconds left in the half.

- Shanks connects with Cummings inside the five, but Cummings was called for pass interference. It's second and 24 from the Cocoa 42. 

- INTERCEPTION! Hart throws deep, but the only one home was Bradford's Cason. He returns it down to the Cocoa 27.

- Torin Brazell gets to Hart for a seven-yards loss. On second down, Harts pass is knocked away. It's third and 17.

- Shanks flirts with disaster as he is chased in the end zone, but he gets off his throw only to see it dropped. Bradford punt. Cocoa has got it at their own 43 with 2:49 to go.

- Hawkins sacks Shanks for a third time. The ball gets knocked out again, but Shanks falls on it. Cocoa timeout with 3:08 on the clock. It will be third and 20.

- Pollard gains two on first down and Cocoa calls a timeout in hopes of getting another offensive shot this half. 3:17 to play in the second quarter.

- The Tornadoes will have 3:27 to respond as they return the kickoff to the 20.

- TOUCHDOWN! Latrison Lane rushes it to the house, from the 10 for the score. The Tigers go 99 yards on that drive. The kick is good and it's 14-7.

- Hart fires a seed over the middle for a streaking Bragg. It's first and goal from the 10.

- Cocoa faces a third and 18 and they call timeout to discuss it. 3:18 left in the half.

- Hart connects with Bragg for four yards, but Cocoa is called for a block in the back. That will cost the Tigers 10 yards.

- Pass interference adds 15 yards for Cocoa. The Tigers are just outside the Red Zone at the 22.

- Bradford called ford defensive holding again, Hart follows with a first down throw to CJ Bragg.

- The entire Bradford line swarms the ball carrier in the backfield for a loss of two.

- Hart makes a first down throw to Teeter at the Tiger 48. This drive is finally getting in gear. Timeout.

- A second and six tunnel screen to Boggs leads to a  third and two for the Tigers. 6:27 to play in the half.

- After an incomplete pass, Hart finds Teeter for nine.

- Hawkins-Ingram introduces himself to Shanks again. It's his second sack and a loss of six.

- The first quarter has come to an end.

- Cummings is showing off his great hands. He makes a first down grab at the Cocoa 46.

- Shanks, on the keeper, puts his head down and moves the chains with a four-yard gain.

- Shanks scrambles for seven on second down. It's third and three with 1:30 left in the first quarter.

- TURNOVER! Hart scrambles and as he was about to cross the goal line, he lost the ball and it rolled through the end zone for a touchback. Bradford will get it at their own 20.

- Cocoa is playing fast. They have a third and goal at the five.

- TURNOVER! Davi'yon Hawkins-Ingram spins Shanks and knocks the ball loose and the Samandre Hawkins recovers for Cocoa.

- Jy'quez Cason catches a short kick and gives his team excellent field position out to the Cocoa 46.

- TOUCHDOWN! Nobody covers Nicholas Teeter and Hart flips it to him for an easy 36-yard score. The PAT try is true. Cocoa has its first lead with 4:07 to go in the first quarter.

- Jayvon Boggs gathers in a first down throw from Hart at the Bradford 31. After a false start penalty, Cocoa has a first and 15 from the 36.

- Hart rolls right and throws ball right in a defenders hands, but he could not hold onto the interception. It wouldn't have mattered, however, the Tornadoes were called for holding. It's a first down in Bradford territory.

- DJ Bryant makes a spectacular leaping grab from Hart, at the Cocoa 48. First down.

- The Bradford defense is fired up. They drop Malachi Coney for a loss on first down.

- The Tigers run the kick out near the 20. They start their second possession with a deficit.

- TOUCHDOWN! Chalil Cummings high-points the football to wrestle a Shanks TD pass away from a defender for the first score of the night. The PAT was missed. 6:24 left in the first quarter.

- Bradford keeps it on the ground. It's third and 10 from the 15.

- Shanks, on a third and four, runs right and then cuts it back for a first down run to the Cocoa 15.

- TURNOVER! Jayshawn Smith loses control of the football after a short reception. Bradford has the ball at the Cocoa 30.

- Brady Hart completes his second pass, a third down throw to Nicholas Teeter. Tigers have a first down across the 30.

- Jeremiah McKenzie's punt goes into the end zone for touchback. Cocoa takes over at the 20 with 10:14 remaining in the first quater.

- Dae'jon Shanks takes a deep shot, but it is overthrown. Bradford lines up to go on fourth and seven, but now must punt after a delay of game call.

- The Tornadoes will face a third and seven from the 35 after two short runs.

- Explosive start. Willie Pollard takes the handoff and runs all the way to the Cocoa 38, a gain of 66. First down.

- Bradford muffs the kick but fortunately recovers it. The Tornadoes start at their own 12.
