Anna and Tyler Chapel Hill square off for the Class 4A Division I state championship to open Friday's schedule of games in Arlington.
The matchup is a part of UIL state championship week at AT&T Stadium with 12 games being played from Wednesday to Saturday with three games per day.

POSTGAME
-- Edward Chumley is named 4A Division I state championship offensive MVP. The junior running back scored all three of the game's touchdowns in the first half and finished with 71 rushing yards (and two rushing TDs) and 31 receiving yards (and one passing TD).
-- CJ Miller is named Defensive MVP of the 4A Division I state championship. He tallied 15 total tackles.
-- Anna sophomore QB Ziondre Williams completed 17 of 25 pass attempts for 170 yards and a touchdown pass.
FOURTH QUARTER
-- That's it. Anna rides near-flawless first half to its first UIL state championship in program history. Anna hasn't won a team sport title since 1968.
THIRD QUARTER
-- Chapel Hill coughs up three fumbles — and loses one of them — in a scoreless third quarter and most of the game's offense appears to have been left in the first half.
HALFTIME
-- Coaches generally loathe any in-game media responsibilities. Anna's Seth Parr looked like he enjoyed his first crack at it talking to Bally Sports as he ran off the field. His message to plays pregame? Prepare, execute as you have all season: "We've got a lot of guys who are angry who get to the football," Parr told Bally's Ashley Pickle.
-- Anna's defense has held Chapel Hill to 19 yards of total offense on 23 first half plays from scrimmage, its offense was not flagged for a first half penalty and was 2 of 2 on fourth down.
SECOND QUARTER

-- Touchdown, Edward Chumley takes a toss to the right for a goal line run. PAT good by Camden Schlicht, who is perfect on the season, and Anna turns a once-productive Chapel Hill drive into another score. (17-0, Anna | 8:29)

-- My goodness, Ziondre Williams. On 4th and long, Anna's QB slips out of a collapsing pocket, breaks at least three tackles and makes the first down to make it first and goal. That's one way to deflate a defense. That's has third scramble of the drive.

It's been a season of firsts for Anna. Two weeks ago, the Coyotes won their first regional championship. With their semifinal win against Decatur last week, they've won the most games in a single season. Now, they get the chance to win their first-ever state championship. Chapel Hill, meanwhile, is making its first appearance in a state final since 2011 and the Bulldogs are seeking their third state championship. They come into Friday's game with a high-powered offense which is averaging 45.6 points per game.

Ziondre Williams, QB, so.
Williams has been a key difference-maker this season in the Coyotes' quest for their first state title. In his first season as a starter, Williams - who has received heavy recruiting interest from TCU - has thrown for more than 2,750 yards and 38 TDs and has added an additional 800-plus yards on the ground with eight TDs.
Jacob Emmers, WR, sr.
Emmers heads up a bevy of receivers that Williams has targeted. Though he isn't the team's leading pass-catcher, Emmers may be the most impactful playmaking wideout. Of his 50 receptions, 11 have gone for TDs, including two key TDs during the Coyotes' regional championship win against Stephenville. He has received offers from several schools, including Oklahoma State, Cal, North Texas, Texas State and UTSA.
CJ Miller, LB, sr.
Miller is a force from his inside linebacker position. He leads Anna in a number of categories, including total tackles (182), solo tackles (111), tackles for loss (20) and sacks (eight). In last week's semifinal win, Miller tallied 12 tackles, a sack and a pass deflection.
TYLER CHAPEL HILL
Demetrius Brisbon, QB, jr.
Brisbon is one part of a dynamic backfield duo for the Bulldogs. An SMU commit, Brisbon has thrown for nearly 1,950 yards and 26 TDs and has added 1,664 yards rushing with 13 TDs. In last week's semifinal win, he accounted for 331 yards of total offense and four TDs - three of those on the ground.
Rickey Stewart, RB, jr.
As if trying to stop Brisbon is a handful enough for opposing defenses, they also have to deal with Stewart's presence. Also an SMU commit, Stewart has rushed for nearly 2,800 yards and 40 TDs, while adding four more TDs catching the ball. Last week, he gained 220 yards and scored three TDs.
Da'Veon Ross, LB, sr.
An outside linebacker, Ross leads the Bulldogs in tackles (163), solo stops (112) and tackles for loss (37). He had 11 tackles, a sack and a pass break-up in last week's semifinal win. Ross has received offers from Sam Houston State and Arkansas State.
