North Shore defeats Westlake: Live Texas high school football state semifinal updates recap

North Shore holds off Westlake in clash of UIL Class 6A Division I titans

North Shore and Westlake are paired in the Texas high school football playoffs on Saturday, with a berth to next week's UIL state championship in Arlington on the line. 

The Class 6A Division I semifinal pits two nationally ranked opponents against one another. Kickoff was at 3 p.m. (CT) and the game is being played at The Pfield in Pflugerville.

The winner's reward? A trip to AT&T Stadim and a 6A Division I title matchup next Saturday with the winner of North Crowley and nationally ranked Duncanville.

FINAL: NORTH SHORE 23, WESTLAKE 14

FOURTH QUARTER

THIRD QUARTER

-- The Chaparrals hold North Shore to a field goal. Jonathan Soto sends a 26-yard kick through the uprights to give the Mustangs the lead mid-third quarter. (17-14, North Shore | 6:08)
