LSU commit Dakorien Moore says 'Oregon is in the picture' following visit
The Oregon Ducks are working to flip the nation's No. 2 wide receiver. Do they have a shot?
Duncanville (Texas) standout Dakorien Moore committed to LSU in August. On Friday, the 5-foot-11, 175-pound pass-catcher made it clear that he's taking Oregon seriously after a recent visit to Eugene.
"Oregon's in the picture," he told SBLive after Duncanville's opening round playoff win, donning an LSU sweatshirt and Oregon shoes. "They’re making a hard run right now. I'd say they’re still in the picture, they’re kind of fighting for me ... showing me more stuff each time I go (up) there. So I’m still keeping in contact."
247 Sports tabs Moore as the No. 5 prospect in the nation and No. 1 in Texas in the class of 2025. He visited Oregon on Nov. 4 for its 63-19 win over Cal.
Moore hasn't wavered from his commitment to LSU, but he's listening to the schools still talking to him — though that he says that number is small.
"It’s a lot of schools interested, but ain’t too many keeping communication with me," he said. "It’s making it real easy limiting my options, but I’m locked in (to LSU)."
Moore visited Oregon in June with Duncanville teammate, 5-star edge Collin Simmons, and said he appreciates the schools actively keeping in touch with him despite his commitment status.
"Just having people to talk to go back and talk to about the next level that want the best for me," Moore said. "Being able to talk to them about anything, checking up on me and stuff like that, I love the communication."
He had more to say about his recent Eugene visit, in which the Ducks finished with more than 440 yards of passing and 597 yards of total offense:
"I’d say I liked it. I really liked it. I went for a game. Just seeing how they play football, they throw the ball a lot, they’ve got a lot of weapons on offense, lot of weapons on defense, it was just a good football game all-around."

As a sophomore, Moore racked up 764 receiving yards on 44 catches and caught six touchdown passes to help Duncanville win a UIL (Texas) 6A Division I state title.
Through nine games, he's surpassed his yards (939) and scores (12) totals for the Panthers, the No. 3 team in Texas and No. 10 nationally. He tallied five catches for 70 yards on Friday.
Duncanville faces Rockwall-Heath (9-2) in the area round next Friday.
