Vote: Who should be SBLive's Oklahoma High School Athlete of the Week (12/11/2023)?
High school football championship games are finally in the books and with that, we can finally look ahead to the winter sports that lie ahead of us.
Before we do that, though, let's take a look at the championship performances from over the weekend, along with some other sensational highlight reels.

Major Cantrell, Washington football
Cantrell finished his senior season by claiming a second straight Class 2A state championship by getting a win against Oklahoma City Millwood. Cantrell passed for 206 yards and two scores.
Kade Norman, Washington football
Norman scored a touchdown on the ground and returned an interception for a score in the Class 2A state championship game as well. Norman also recovered a fumble that led to a touchdown.
CJ Turnbull, Oklahoma City Millwood football
Turnbull passed for 206 yards, including a 67-yarder for a TD. He was also the Falcons' top rusher with 59 yards on 13 carries along with a 5-yard TD.
Jax Bernard, Fairview football
In a Class A state championship win on Saturday, the junior quarterback passed for 231 yards and two touchdowns. He ran for 121 yards as well.
Reed Martens, Fairview football
Martens didn't score any touchdowns, but he had 111 yards receiving in the 34-8 state championship win against Hooker.
Justin Palacios, Hooker football
Despite the loss, the freshman showed up on the big stage for his team. Palacios scored Hooker's lone touchdown and had an interception.
Kaden Manuel, Seiling football
Manuel accounted for all of Seiling's touchdowns - a total of seven to be exact - in a 48-16 Class B state championship win against Velma-Alma. Manuel had 355 yards on 27 carries.
Langston Walker, Velma-Alma football
Despite coming up short in the Class B title game, Walker showed out, as he had 13 catches for 236 yards and a touchdown.
DJ Howell, Broken Arrow boys basketball
Broken Arrow claimed back-to-back Bishop Kelley Invitational Championships over the weekend. In the process, Howell was named MVP for his efforts in a 58-54 championship game win against Mustang where he scored 21 points.
Triston Driver, Bixby boys basketball
In a win over Tahlequah on Saturday night, Driver scored 37 points, including six made 3-pointers. He also had four assists and four rebounds.
Walker Kennedy, Piedmont boys basketball
After scoring 20 points in the championship, Kennedy clinched MVP honors in the Duncan Tournament. Kennedy also dished out three assists and nabbed three rebounds in a win over Ada.
Wyatt Geissler, Bethany boys basketball
In a 78-63 semifinal tournament win over Destiny Christian, Geissler scored 32 points, including eight made 3-pointers.
Ethan Wilkerson, Madill boys basketball
At the Madill Winter Classic, Wilkerson set a scoring record that hadn't been broken in 19 years. In a three-game span, he scored 82 points.
Dayton Forsythe, Dale boys basketball
The Pirate basketball team hasn't lost on Oklahoma soil in nearly two years. When things looked a little bleak over the weekend in the championship game of the Boomerang Classic, it was Forsythe who came to life, scoring 28 points.
Allison Heathcock, Edmond North girls basketball
In a convincing win against Norman North, Heathcock broke a single-game scoring record at her school with 34 points. She also had nine rebounds.
Janiyah Williams, Edmond Memorial girls basketball
Williams started the season with three double-doubles. Her most recent one came in a win over Owasso when she had 17 points and added 16 rebounds.
Keeley Parks, Norman girls basketball
Parks became only the ninth player in Oklahoma high school girls basketball history to score 51 or more points in a 63-61 win against Midwest City.
Tori Kilburn, McAlester girls basketball
In the third-place game of the Tahlequah Invitational, it was Kilburn who poured in 21 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to beat Will Rogers.
Keziah Lofton, Bethany girls basketball
In the first game of Lofton's junior season, she tallied her 1,000th career point. She followed that up over the weekend with two double-double performances as her team finished runner-up at a tournament in Fort Smith, Ark.
Allyssa Parker, Pocola girls basketball
In the Lady Indians' home opener on Dec. 5, Parker lit up the scoreboard, breaking her career high with 37 points. Pocola beat Talihina 56-44.
