In the final high school football game in Oklahoma for the 2023 season, a repeat performance materialized.

Defending Class 2A champion Washington repeated as state champs with a 41-24 win against Oklahoma City Millwood on Saturday night at the University of Central Oklahoma's Chad Richison Stadium in Edmond.

In last season's 2A title game, when the Warriors rallied from a fourth-quarter deficit to edge the Falcons, 17-14. Saturday, Washington rallied from a double-digit halftime deficit to post another win against the Falcons.

Washington also finished its season with a perfect 15-0 record while winning the third gold ball in program history.

The Warriors possessed standout collection of players including Cooper Alexander (Iowa State), Hudson Howard, Nate Roberts (a standout tight end who earlier this season de-committed from Notre Dame), Max Wilson and Major Cantrell.

Washington enters Saturday's game having outscored its opponents, 657-100, including a string of six consecutive shutouts.
