Fairview defeats Hooker: Live updates, score of Oklahoma high school football Class A state championship (12/9/2023)
One team was aiming to claim back-to-back Class A championships, while the other was making its first championship game appearance.
In the end, it was Fairview which earned a repeat, as the Yellowjackets posted a 34-8 win against Hooker Saturday afternoon for the Class A title at Chad Richison Stadium on the University of Central Oklahoma campus in Edmond.

Fairview (15-0) achieved winning both back-to-back Class A titles as well as finishing 15-0 for the second straight season. Hooker (12-3) was making its first-ever championship game appearance in program history.
Fairview has not lost a football game since the year 2021, when the Yellowjackets fell to Tonkawa in the playoffs. With Saturday's win, the Yellowjackets have also won four state titles.
Last season for the Class A title, the Yellowjackets defeated Gore, 32-28.
Both Fairview and Hooker are District A-1 rivals. The Yellowjackets won, 56-22, in a game played in September.
