Super Bowl rosters include 10 former Florida high school stars

St. Thomas Aquinas' product Nick Bosa stands out among the near dozen that hail from Florida

The state of Florida will not lack for representation with Super Bowl LVIII kicks off tonight at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. 10 players who played their high school football in the Sunshine State will be on the field between the rosters of the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.

Among the biggest names you'll see on the list below of 10 players that come from Florida are Kansas City Chiefs' wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling and San Francisco 49ers' defensive end Nick Bosa.

Valdes-Scantling played his high school ball at Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg for Cory Moore and was a speedster on the outside for the Spartans. In his senior season at Lakewood, Valdes-Scantling hauled in 50 passes for 800 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Bosa has long emerged as one of the National Football League's (NFL) top edge rushers and many knew early on in his days at St. Thomas Aquinas that he may end up playing professionally one day. The defensive end played in seven games his senior season for the Raiders, recording 21 tackles, 13.5 for loss and five sacks.
