Watch: Sierra Canyon's Mackenly Randolph reaction to McDonald's All-American selection

Mackenly Randolph, daughter of former NBA All-Star Zach Randolph, reacts with pure excitement when finding out she's a McDonald's All-American

Sierra Canyon's 5-star girls basketball player Mackenly Randolph waited in anticipation to see if her name would be displayed on ESPN's NBA Today Tuesday afternoon as the show began to reveal the boys and girls' rosters for the 2024 McDonald's All-American game.

For a moment, it seemed like she couldn't handle it as the girls' East roster flashed on the screen. She knew she'd have to wait a little longer until the West roster was revealed.

"Aaah," she yelled. "Turn the TV off, turn the TV off!"

After the graphic on the TV changed and the West roster was revealed, it didn't take long to see her own name. The wholesome celebration with her teammates ensued.

Randolph, the 6-foot daughter of former NBA All-Star Zach Randolph, has been a standout high school prospect since she was a freshman. She's ranked No. 21 in the ESPN Top 100 for the class of 2024, and now, a McDonald's All-American.

Juju Watkins and Randolph are the only two girls basketball players to be selected to the McDonald's All-American game in Sierra Canyon's history.

The senior forward, known for her combination of physicality and touch, is averaging 19.8 points (53% FG), 11.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game this season which has anchored the Trailblazers to a 22-1 record.

Randolph is still uncommitted, but told SBLive in October that she's down to three schools: Notre Dame, Michigan State and Louisville.

Randolph helped Sierra Canyon be named the 2023 National Champions by ESPN last season as a junior with then-senior Juju Watkins. This year's team is led by Randolph and fellow senior Izela Arenas (daughter of former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas) and sophomore star Jerzy Robinson.

Arenas, a Louisville commit, is averaging 16.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 33% from the 3-point line. Robinson is tallying 20.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.
