Here are the latest highs school basketball rankings for the CIF Southern Section as of Jan. 14.

1. Harvard-Westlake (19-1)

The Wolverines have a big week ahead. Traveling to play in the Hoophall Classic Monday before playing Notre Dame and Sierra Canyon Wednesday and Friday, respectively.

2. Mater Dei (19-1)

The Monarchs might be playing the best basketball in the state after knocking off St. John Bosco and Catholic Memorial (MA) at the Hoophall Classic.

3. Corona Centennial (15-8)

Centennial rises after beating Eastvale Roosevelt thanks to 39 points from Carter Bryant.

4. Eastvale Roosevelt (20-2)

The Mustangs show they're mortal, falling to Centennial last week in Big VIII play.

5. Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks (20-0)

The Knights’ biggest challenge comes Wednesday against Harvard-Westlake.

6. St. John Bosco (18-3)

The Braves could be the most dangerous team in SoCal if they can figure out their offensive identity.

7. Sierra Canyon (19-1)

The Trailblazers have a big opportunity Friday against Harvard-Westlake. Justin Pippen continues to rise as an underrated prospect.

8. Damien (16-3)

The Spartans continue to rely on Xavier Clinton and Nate Garcia. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

9. Windward (18-3)

The Wildcats continue to win games to prove they belong in the Open Division playoff conversation after beating Etiwanda Saturday, 55-44.

10. St. Pius (15-4)

The Warriors are hanging on for an Open Division playoff spot; can;'t afford to lose a Del Rey League game.

11. JSerra (17-3)

The Lions will be without coach Keith Wilkinson for six games due to a suspension from the CIF.

12. Santa Margarita (15-6)

The Eagles are capable of knocking off a Trinity League top team in the second round of games.

13. Redondo Union (15-4)

The Sea Hawks are on the Open Division watchlist.

14. West Ranch (10-9)

The Wildcats have won four straight. UNLV commit James Evans is averaging 18.7 points per game.

15. Etiwanda (17-3)

The Eagles' Open Division hopes are dwindling after its loss to West Ranch and Etiwanda, but two more game against Damien still puts Etiwanda in the Open conversation.

16. Anaheim Canyon (16-4)

Eight wins in a row, including wins over Crespi and San Gabriel Academy.

17. Pasadena (17-3)

The Bulldogs are still in the running for an outright Pacific League title.

18. La Mirada (15-7)

Playing arguably one of the toughest schedules in Southern California.

19. Crespi (18-5)

The Celts have lost four of five, but appear to be in a space of their own in the Mission League after the big three atop.

20. Long Beach Poly (14-7)

Jovani Ruff is going to be the Moore League MVP.
