NCAA D1 women's basketball tournament 2024: Who from Washington high schools will be participating

A whopping 11 in-state products are on Big Sky Conference champion Eastern Washington University's roster

The bracket is set, and there are 25 players who once played at Washington high schools now playing for D1 women’s basketball teams that have qualified for this year’s NCAA Tournament.

Here’s a look at the former high school standouts from the state listed on tournament rosters in 2024, including several all-conference and conference tournament honorees.

ARIZONA

CAL BAPTIST

F Kinsley Barrington, sr. (University, Timpview, Southern Utah) — Has started all 31 games for WAC regular season and tournament champion Cal Baptist this winter, averaging 10.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2 assists per game.

COLORADO

F Quay Miller, gr. (Kentridge, Washington) — All-Pac-12 honorable mention selection averages a team-leading 7.5 rebounds, and has added 9 points and 1.4 assists this season, starting all 31 games for Colorado.

EASTERN WASHINGTON

G Aaliyah Alexander, R-soph. (Todd Beamer) — Paces the Big Sky regular season and tournament champion Eagles with 14.7 points per game, and has added 4.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists starting all 34 games this winter. All-Big Sky first-team selection.

G Ellie Boni, R-soph. (University, Colorado State, San Jose State)

G Jacinta Buckley, sr. (Lewis and Clark, UNLV) — Leads the Eagles with 6.1 rebounds per game, and has averaged 9.8 points, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals this winter. All-tournament team selection has started 22 of 25 games played for the Big Sky regular season and tournament champion Eagles.

F Camille Jentzsch, soph. (Lake Stevens)

G Jamie Loera, gr. (Moses Lake, Arizona State) — Unanimous Big Sky MVP leads Eastern Washington in assists (5.6) and steals (2.4), and has also averaged 13.2 points and 5.6 rebounds starting 33 games this season. Also earned Big Sky defensive player of the year honors for the second consecutive season this winter, and was named the Big Sky Tournament MVP for the conference tournament champion Eagles, who also won the regular season conference title.

F Jaydia Martin, jr. (Hudson’s Bay) — Has played in 32 games (20 starts) for the Big Sky regular season and tournament champion Eagles, averaging 6.8 points and 3.6 rebounds.

(Cashmere, Louisville) — Has started 29 games for the defending NCAA Tournament champion Tigers this winter, averaging 12.3 points, 2.4 rebounds, a team-leading 3.7 assists and 1.3 steals. Was a two-time All-ACC first-team selection in three seasons at Louisville before joining LSU this season.
