It is high school baseball season in Georgia and each week we will be highlighting top performance and asking you to help us select our Georgia High School Baseball Hitter of the Week. Below are our nominations for the week of March 11-16 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, March 24th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Jeremiah Whitehead

Here are this week's nominees:

Kendall Jackson, Houston County

Jackson went 4-for-7 in a series versus Veterans with a double, triple, and five stolen bases.

Cade Brown, Parkview

Brown added to his home run count with a go-ahead grand slam.

Joshua Kendrick, Woodland (Stockbridge)

Kendrick had himself a week, in a win over Hampton. He went 4-for-4 with a triple and six RBIs. In a win over Cedar Grove, he went 2-for-3 with a triple.

Ethan Garrett, Heritage

In a three-game series versus Westfield, Garrett had five hits, seven RBI, a double, and two homers.

Caleb Fleitz, Seckinger

Fleitz went 2-for-3 with two bombs and four RBIs in a blowout win over Walnut Grove.

Evan Doss, East Coweta

Doss was 3-for-3 with two home runs and three RBIs in a win over Rockmart.
