SPOKANE - The 2024 WIAA 1B boys and girls high school basketball state tournament has arrived.

The action tipped off Wednesday morning at Spokane Arena with the 1B boys round of 12 games. The first game - Muckleshoot Tribal vs. Cusick - tipped off at 9 a.m. with three others to follow immediately after. 

The 1B girls round of 12 games tip off at 3:45 p.m.

CLASS 1B BOYS SCORES, UPDATES

(Class 1B boys bracket)

GAME 1No. 6 Cusick 64, No. 11 Muckleshoot Tribal 54 - (Cusick advances to play No. 4 DeSales at 9 a.m. Thursday)

Game summary: Roland Campbell scored 17 points to lead four Cusick players in double figures as the Panthers rolled to a 64-54 win over Muckleshoot Tribal. Chris Mackey scored 15 points and Bode Seymour and Dennis Campbell III had 14 apiece for Cusick.

Payton Brown led Muckleshoot Tribal with a game-high 29 points.

GAME 2: No. 7 Mossyrock 69, No. 15 Summit Classical 68 - (Mossyrock advances to play No. 1 Lummi Nation at 10:30 a.m. Thursday)

Game summary: Zack Munoz scored 19 points and Shaun Fry and Lenz Bigbee scored 17 apiece to lead Mossyrock over Summit Classical and into the 1B boys basketball quarterfinals. Mossyrock trailed by nine points entering the fourth quarter and outscored Summit Classical 21-11 to pull out the win.

Trey Hodo led Summit Classical with 31 points and 7 rebounds. Riley Hyde added 10 points and 7 rebounds.

GAME 3: No. 5 Neah Bay 58, No. 12 Oakesdale 45 - (Neah Bay advances to play No. 3 Moses Lake/Covenant Christian at 12:15 p.m. Thursday)

Game summary: Makyah Chambers had 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists to lead Neah Bay into the 1B boys basketball state quarterfinals. Tyler Swan added 17 points and 18 rebounds for Neah Bay. Ryker Reed led Oakesdale with 19 points and 5 rebounds.

GAME 4: No. 15 Columbia Adventist 54, No. 8 Naselle 51 - (Columbia Adventist advances to play No. 2 Wellpinit at 2 p.m. Thursday)

Game summaryCollin Delaney scored 18 points, including the game-winning basket with less than a minute to play, to lift Columbia Adventist to a come-from-behind 54-51 win over Naselle and into the 1B quarterfinals. The Kodiaks trailed 32-21 at halftime, but outscored Naselle 17-7 in the third quarter to get back in the game.

Tristan White added 12 points and 6 rebounds for Columbia Adventist. Jacob Pakenen led Naselle with 18 points, and Jacob Lindstrom added 13 points.

CLASS 1B GIRLS SCORES, UPDATES

(Class 1B girls bracket)

GAME 1: No. 6 Oakesdale 44, No. 11 Lummi Nation 35 - (Oakesdale advances to play No. 4 Crosspoint at 3:45 p.m. Thursday)

Game summary: Lucy Hockett scored 18 points and Payton Davis added 14 to lead Oakesdale to a 44-35 win over Lummi Nation in the 1B girls basketball round of 12 Wednesday afternoon. 

GAME 2No. 7 Wilbur-Creston-Keller 57, No. 10 Mossyrock 39 - (Wilbur-Creston-Keller advances to play No. 1 Neah Bay at 5:30 p.m. Thursday)

Game summary: Rocksie Timentwa scored 23 points to lead Wilbur-Creston-Keller to a 57-39 victory over Mossyrock in the round of 12 Wednesday night at Spokane Arena.

GAME 3: No. 12 Garfield-Palouse 41, No. 5 Almira/Coulee-Hartline 32 - (Garfield-Palouse advances to play No. 3 Waterville-Mansfield at 7:15 p.m. Thursday)

Game summary: Morgan Lentz scored 20 points to lead Garfield-Palouse over Almira/Coulee-Hartline and into the 1B girls basketball state quarterfinals.

GAME 4: No. 9 Sunnyside Christian 39, No. 8 Curlew 33 - (Sunnyside Christian advances to play No. 2 Mount Vernon Christian at 9 p.m. Thursday)
