Defense stole the show in Week 5 of the Washington high school football season with plenty of dazzling plays, but offenses still made their mark in the latest Top 10 countdown.

10. Trailing Cascade Christian with just enough time to run one play, King's came up big with quarterback Noah Clark and Colton Adams connecting for the game-winning score.
9. The newest spectacle in Spokane debuted last week and the historic first touchdown at ONE Spokane Stadium belonged to Clarkston's Carter Steinwand and Ryken Craber.
8. Brayden Platt does plenty for the Yelm offense, but some of the Tornados' linemen got their time to shine last week with Landen Barger and Kyle Kaaiwela scoring on two-point conversions.
7. Trailing by a touchdown against Sunnyside, Eastmont was looking for a spark - and it came in the form of a Joseph Lisson interception returned for a touchdown that got the Wildcats going.
6. Seems like you can rely on Kennedy Catholic to make a big play every week. Mason Moriarty had a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown against Federal Way.
5. With a small lead against Eastside Catholic, the O'Dea offense was looking for a big play - and got exactly what it ordered when Jason Brown Jr. broke free for a 61-yard touchdown.
4. Lynden Christian hosted defending Class 2B champion and Trey Bosman was in the right place twice hauling in two interceptions, returning both for touchdowns.
3. On third-and-long, it was easy to assume East Valley of Yakima would be airing it out. Jaxon Berg got some help with Greyson Stevens outrunning the entire secondary for an 83-yard catch and score.
2. Chiawana's defense has made plays all season long, and the story wasn't any different in last week's game against Kennewick. Fumble recoveries for touchdowns by Tayten Cissne and Aaron Lowry helped bury the Lions.
1. Washington has a special playmaker on both sides of the ball in Unterrio Latin-Henley, and he proved it with an interception against Fife, returning it 87 yards for a touchdown after weaving his way up the field and past every would-be tackler.
