After talking to coaches around the state, SBLive WA is releasing it Class 4A preseason Top-10 girls soccer rankings heading into fall season:

* CLASS 3A PRESEASON RANKINGS

* CLASS 2A PRESEASON RANKINGS

* CLASS 1A and 'B' PRESEASON RANKINGS

---

1. SKYLINE

With one of state’s best scorers returning in Ashley Roni, and six WIAA titles since 2008, Spartans should occupy this spot at outset.

2. ISSAQUAH

A pair of consecutive title-game defeats gives this talented Eagles’ side that extra hunger for their first state championship since 2017.

3. WOODINVILLE

A semifinal team a season ago that returns 11 girls who saw regular playing time? Hop on the Falcons’ bandwagon now.

4. SUMNER

Should be considered darkhorse title favorites with Oregon State commit Ari Hill and Auburn Riverside transfer Ava Morton in tow.

5. LEWIS & CLARK

Graduating just two starters from a team fresh off first 4A state berth in a decade gives Tigers plenty of optimism to build on their success.

6. EASTLAKE

Junior defender Jaelyn Byeman guides a team looking to take the next step from state mainstay to WIAA title contender.

7. CAMAS

A lot of talent graduated from state-contending Papermakers’ side in 2022, but coach Keri Tomasetti’s program always reloads well.

8. GONZAGA PREP

Coaches around Spokane highlight Bullpups as the opponent you circle on the calendar to gauge the strength of your team.

9. KAMIAKIN

Senior defender Nicole Wertenberger is the lone all-league selection returning for a team that finished third in Class 4A a season ago.

10. WEST VALLEY OF YAKIMA

Rams will certainly miss some of the elite talent that graduated from last year’s state quarterfinal side, but there’s still plenty to like.
