Duncanville beats South Grand Prairie: Live score, updates of Texas high school girls state basketball championship (3/2/2024)
Two national powerhouses clash in the Texas high school Class 6A state girls basketball championship on Saturday.
South Grand Prairie (33-4) and Duncanville (32-3) both escaped the Class 6A state semifinals — the Panthers in overtime fashion — and will play for the title on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
The game is being streamed live on the NFHS Network (subscription required).
South Grand Prairie beat Northside Brennan 53-42 and Duncanville prevailed over Humble Summer Creek in overtime, 39-31, Duncanville is No. 13 and South Grand Prairie is No. 25 in the latest SBLive/Sports Illustrated Power 25 national rankings.
The Panthers are led by senior Mariah Clayton (12.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.3 steals per game), senior Cincinnati signee Chloe Mann (13.2 points, 3.6 assists, 2.4 steals per game) and junior guard Kaylinn Kemp.
