Dynamic Prep remains at No. 1, while Lewisville and Fort Bend Marshall debuts in the new SBLive Texas Power 25 high school boys basketball power rankings released on Monday.

T exas high school basketball seasons are heating up and SBLive is taking stock of the top 25 boys basketball teams in the Lone Star State across all associations and classifications, from the UIL, to TAPPS, to the Texas Christian Athletic League.

This week, No. 7 Beaumont United seeks to avenge its lone with a showdown against Atascocita and No. 2 Plano East looks to sweep Lewisville to wrap up a district championship.

1. Dynamic Prep (Irving, Tex.) (15-1, 1-0)

Previous rank: 1; Last week: Def. Mt. Zion Prep (Maryland), 64-41; SBLive/SI national ranking: No. 7.

In just their second year of existence, Dynamic Prep is rolling. They picked up another road victory in Maryland last week and travel to Oklahoma this week before playing two more games later this week. Dynamic Prep picked up another win to add to their impressive start to the season. The program is run by six-time NBA All-Star Jermaine O'Neal and features Top 100 juniors Jaden Toombs and Jermaine O'Neal Jr. Leon Horner, a 6-foot-6 wing.

2. Plano East (Plano, Tex.) (26-0, 7-0)

Previous rank: 2; Last week: Def. Hebron (68-43), Def. Flower Mound (74-23).

With two more impressive district victories last week, the Panthers remain undefeated on the season. Led by junior D.J. Hall and senior Jordan Mizell, will Plano East separate itself from the pack in 6A District 6? The Panthers face a Lewisville squad who sits one game behind Plano East for the district championship as they certainly give the Panthers their best shot this week.

3. Stony Point (Round Rock, Tex.) (25-1, 7-0)

Previous rank: 3; Last week: Def. McNeil (101-53), def. Manor (72-56).

The Tigers continued their winning ways with two more impressive conference wins last week. Stony Point, led by Villanova commit Josiah Moseley (22.1 points per game) and junior point guard Uzziah Buntyn (5.2 assists per game) are on a collision course for a regional final championship against San Antonio Brennan in the post season. Who will make it to the Alamodome out of Region IV?

Up next: At Vandegrift, Tuesday, 7 p.m.; Against Round Rock, Friday, 7 p.m.

4. Seven Lakes (Katy, Tex.) (27-2, 10-0)

Previous rank: 4; Last week: Def. Tompkins (97-40), Def. Morton Ranch (102-60).

The Spartans continued their dominance through the start of their district season with two more wins last week. Led by AJ Bates and Brett Norton, senior-laden Seven Lakes seek its third straight district title.

Up next: Against Mayde Creek, Wednesday, 7 p.m.; At Jordan, Saturday, 1 p.m.

5. Brennan (San Antonio, Tex.) (22-4, 10-0)

Previous rank: 6; Last week: Def. Harlan (68-54), Def. Taft (103-49).

The Bears have all but clinched the 6A District 29 crown, looking like a complete team all season led by one of the best backcourts in the Lone Star State in Kingston Flemings (18.0 points per game), Camden Cowgill (12.1) and do-it-all sophomore wing Isaiah Ward (14.1 points, 7 rebounds per game) as they look for a second straight regional championship and state tournament appearance.

Up next: Against O'Connor (San Antonio), Saturday, 12 pm

6. Veterans Memorial (San Antonio, Tex.) (28-1, 7-0)

Previous rank: 7; Last week: Def. Canyon (73-51), def. Boerne-Champion (41-31).

The Patriots dream season continued last week with two more district victories - one of them against No. 18 Boerne-Champion, helping put itself in the drivers seat for a district championship. Led by senior wings Demarion Dennis (14.4) and Gervai Maeweathers (11.1), the Patriots went through the first round of district play.

Up next: At Pieper, Tuesday, 6:30 pm ; Against Smithson Valley, Friday, 6:30 pm

7. Beaumont United (Beaumont, Tex.) (24-1, 6-1)

Previous rank: 8; Last week: Def. North Shore (60-49), Def. Kingwood (54-36).

The district race appears to be between Timberwolves and Atascocita, which has beat United once this season with a rematch set for Wednesday night. The Timberwolves have made four straight Alamodome appearances, led by 2024 guards Clarence Payia (20.2 points per game), Kayde Dodson (17.8) and senior center Weston Davis (12 rebounds per game).

Up next: At Atascocita, Wednesday, 7 p.m.; At Houston-King, Saturday, 1 p.m.

8. Clements (Fort Bend, Tex.) (23-0, 9-0)

Previous rank: 9; Last week: Def. Fort Bend Austin, 62-47

The undefeated season continues for the Rangers. Clements will be challenged in conference play against Ridge Point this week, and are led by senior Divine Ugochukwu (18 points per game).

Up next: Against Fort Bend Travis, Tuesday, 7 p.m.; At Ridge Point, Friday, 7 p.m.

9. Lake Travis (Austin, Tex.) (23-4, 8-1)

Previous rank: 5; Last week: Lost to Austin-Westlake, 48-46.

The Cavaliers dropped their first district game last week after splitting the season series with rival Westlake, and now sit tied for first place in 6A District 26. Lake Travis' shot at the conference crown will be decided Feb. 9 at a road contest against Buda-Johnson. Led by standout junior forward Hudson Greer (24 points, 7 rebounds per game), senior point guard Chas Biegel contributes five assists per game.

Up next: At Del Valle, Tuesday, 8:00 p.m.; Against Austin-Anderson, Friday, 7:30 p.m.

10. St. Michaels (Austin, Tex.) (26-1)

Previous rank: 10; Last week: Did not play.

The Crusaders begin district play this week after capping off an impressive non-district run. Sophomore Bo Ogden leads the way in scoring (17.8 points per game) and 2025 forward Aiden Disu hauls in seven rebounds per game.

Up next: At Hyde Park, Tuesday, 7:30 p.m.

11. Allen (Allen, Tex.) (23-4, 6-0)

Previous rank: 11; Last week: Def. Rock Hill (103-76), def. Braswell (74-45)

The Eagles continued their five-game district win streak, setting themselves up to be in contention for the district crown. A win over conference foe McKinney this week will all but secure a 6A District 5 championship. Led by junior wing Isaiah Dozier and sophomore point guard Nehemiah Lawrence.

Up next: Against Boyd, Tuesday, 7:15 p.m.; Against McKinney, Friday, 7:15 p.m.

12. North Crowley (Fort Worth, Tex.) (23-3, 7-0)

Previous rank: 12; Last week: Def. Chisholm Trail (80-33), def. Crowley (81-58).

With two more district victories, the Panthers jumped out to an impressive three-game advantage for first place in 6A District 3 with seven games remaining. The Panthers seek their seventh straight district championship. Led by junior Keyaun Williams, who joined the Panther 1,000-point club earlier this season, and district rebounds leader Justin McCray, North Crowley has the makings of a deep postseason player.

Up next: At Paschall, Tuesday, 8 p.m.; At Trinity, Friday, 8 p.m.

13. New Braunfels (New Braunfels, Tex.) (24-3, 3-0)

Previous rank: 14; Last week: Def. East Central (63-50), def. Schertz-Clemens (59-53).

The Unicorns rattled off two district victories last week and are now in the drivers seat to clam the 6A District 27 championship with a narrow win over No. 21 Clemens. Head coach David Brawner's squad deploys a balanced attack led by senior wing Lance Beeghley (13 points, six rebounds per game).

Up next: Against San Marcos, Tuesday, 7 p.m.; At Converse-Judson, Friday, 7 p.m.

14. Shadow Creek (Pearland, Tex.) (23-2, 7-0)

Previous rank: 17; Last week: Def. Alief Taylor (51-39), def. Strake Jesuit (78-50).

The Sharks cruise through district play undefeated as they vie for their second district championship in three seasons. Shadow Creek has experience, led by senior wing Kaden Tate (12.1 points, 10.3 rebounds per game) and junior point guard Michael Collins (20 points per game).

Up next: At Pearland, Wednesday, 7 p.m.; Against Alief Hastings, Saturday, 7 p.m.

15. Keller (Keller, Tex.) (20-5, 6-0)

Previous rank: 17; Last week: Def. V.R. Eaton (62-43), def. Keller Central (73-56).

Continued their winning ways through district play last week with two more victories. Led by junior combo guard Steven Ramirez (21.7 points, 7.0 rebounds per game), Keller aims for its third straight 6A District 14 crown.

Up next: At Southlake Carroll, Tuesday, 7 p.m.; Against Byron Nelson, Friday, 7 p.m.

16. Lewisville (Lewisville, Tex.) (23-1, 5-1)

Previous rank: NR Last week: Def. Marcus (47-43), def. Hebron (69-66).

The Farmers debut after a strong start to the season. Its only loss came to No. 2 Plano East. Lewisville is riding a nine-game win streak and sit in second place behind the Panthers. They have three tournament victories from their non-conference schedule and will hope that experience will lead to a deep postseason run. The rematch between the Farmers and Panthers is set for this Friday night.

Up next: Against Coppell, Tuesday, 7:30 p.m.; At No. 2 Plano East, Friday, 7 p.m.

17. Longview (Longview, Tex.) (23-3, 6-1)

Previous rank: 15; Last week: Lost to Tyler (53-49), def. Hallsville (55-49).

The Lobos hit a blip last week with a narrow loss to Tyler, but bounced back with another close victory. Longview is looking to build another long winning streak to carry them into their final three games of the year, which may determine the district championship in contention with Mt. Pleasant, Tyler, and Hallsville. Senior center Robert Blandburg (12 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks per game) leads the way.

Up next: At Pine Tree, Tuesday, 7:30 p.m.; Against Marshall, Friday, 7:30 p.m.

18. Belton (Belton, Tex.) (23-4, 5-2)

Previous rank: 13; Last week: Def. Chaparral (73-47), lost to Shoemaker (54-50).

The Tigers will look to rebound this week after dropping a conference game last week. Belton will have a chance to avenge their earlier season loss to University this season hoping to still claim the 5A, district 22 district crown. Led by 2,000 point scorer Trap Johnson, a Montana State commit the Tigers are hoping to make a deep postseason run.

Up next: At Ellison, Tuesday, 7 p.m.; Against University, Friday, 7 p.m.

19. Boerne-Champion (Boerne, Tex.) (23-4, 5-1)

Previous rank: 16; Last week: Def. Wagner (51-44), Lost to Veterans Memorial (41-31).

Champion is looking to start another long win streak this week with two district home contests after dropping their first conference game last week to No. 6 Veterans Memorial. The Chargers looks to remain in contention for the 5A District 26 crown with their rematch against the Patriots in the regular season finale on Feb. 13.

Up next: Against Canyon, Tuesday, 6:30 p.m.; Against Kerrville-Tivy, Friday, 6:30 p.m.

20. St. Johns (Houston, Tex.) (20-6, 3-1)

Previous rank: 19 Last week: Def. Bellaire-Episcopal, 71-58.

After dropping a district game two weeks ago, the Mavericks bounced back with a big win to earn their 20th victory on the season. St. Johns will face another challenge this week against Cooper as they look to still capture the Southwest Prep-South championship. Junior do-it-all wing Sebastian Williams-Adames leads the way with his 22.1 points and 10 rebound per game.

Up next: Against Cooper (The Woodlands), Tuesday, 7 p.m.; At The Awty International, Friday, 7 p.m.

21. Atascocita (Humble, Tex.) (23-6, 7-0)

Previous rank: 20; Last week: Def. Kingwood (54-38), Def. West Brook (59-48).

Two more district victories last week for the Eagles pushing their win streak to 19 games as Atascocita primed for a showdown this week with Beaumont United for the 6A District 21 championship. After handing the Timberwolves their only season loss of the year, the Eagles are rolling after a slow start to the season.

Up next: Against Beaumont United, Wednesday, 7 p.m.; Against Humble, Saturday, 1 p.m.

22. Gregory-Portland (Portland, Tex.) (24-4, 3-0)

Previous rank: 22; Last week: Def. Victoria East, 62-58.

The top ranked team in South Texas, the Wildcats have signature wins against Flour Bluff and Alice, led by junior forward Shawn Williams (21.1 points, 10 rebounds per game).

Up next: Against Corpus Christi Miller, Tuesday, 7:30 p.m.; At Corpus Christi Ray, Friday, 7:30 p.m.

23. Amarillo (Amarillo, Tex.) (23-4, 2-0)

Previous rank: 23; Last week: Def. Tascosa (69-53) Def. Plainview (69-34).

Amarillo has had a stellar non-district season so far boasting a Coppell Tournament championship with signature wins against McKinney and Austin-Westlake. The Sandies are seeking their fifth straight 5A District 3 crown, led by head coach Jason Pillion and senior wing TJ Brown (West Texas A&M commit).

24. Fort Bend Marshall (Missouri City, Tex.) (24-2, 7-0)

Previous rank: NR; Last week: Def. Fort Bend Kempner (64-37), def. Fulshear (59-40).

The Buffalos debut as they continue to roll through district play. Seven straight conference wins as them in the driver's seat for their third consecutive 5A District 20 championship led by 2025 combo guard Jaxon Fields.

Up next: Against Lamar Consolidated, Tuesday, 7 p.m.; Against Foster, Friday, 7 p.m.

25. Schertz-Clemens (Schertz, Tex.) (20-7, 2-1)

Previous rank: 21; Last week: Def. Converse-Judson (56-52), lost to New Braunfels (59-53).

The Buffaloes dropped a heartbreaker last week to No. 12 New Braunfels, their district rival, and look to bounce back this week with two more conference games. With signature wins against Atascocita and Antonian Prep, the Buffaloes are led by senior Travon Williams, sophomore Jamail Garland and junior Andre Starks.

Up next: At East Central, Tuesday, 7 p.m.; Against Cibolo-Steele, Friday, 7 p.m.
