High school boys basketball has tipped in the state of Texas.

As the chase for the UIL state championship trophies in March begins, we examined the state and identified the 25 best returning players in Texas.

From Houston Booker T. Washington's Chris McDermott, to Nic Codie, Carrollton Smith Newman's Texas-signed 4-star standout, the Lone Star State is once again loaded with hoop talent — even though the top prospect in the state, 5-star guard Tre Johnson, became the latest elite prospect to transfer out of state.
