Bryan Jackson, 3-star USC commit, scores 3 TDs to help McKinney (Texas) avoid upset

240-pound 3-star prospect lumbers in for 98 yards to help pull away from Denton Braswell

USC commit Bryan Jackson had himself a night for one of the best high school football teams in Texas.

The 6-foot, 240-pound class of 2024 tailback scored three rushing touchdowns to help McKinney (Texas) stave off an upset against Denton Braswell in a 35-14 win on Friday night.

Jackson is a 3-star and No. 89 overall prospect in Texas (per 247 Sports) finished with 98 yards on 20 carries (to help McKinney, the No. 19 ranked team in the SBLive Texas Power 25, move to 6-0 on the season and 3-0 in District 5-6A.

The game was tied at 14 apiece at half thanks to two Jackson touchdown runs in the second quarter from three and 13 yards. His third came with 9:20 left in the fourth quarter and put the Lions up two touchdowns.

The Lions added another touchdown with 1:14 left to cement the win. 

McKinney is loaded with college talent. The Lions feature 5-star 2024 safety Xavier Filsaime (Florida), 4-star 2025 linebacker Riley Pettijohn and seven three-star prospects, including Jackson.
