Ethan Feaster, DeSoto (Texas) freshman phenom, backs up hype with long TD

Class of 2027 high school receiver with 28 Division I offers got Week 1 start for nationally ranked Eagles

Plenty of hype had built going into the season around DeSoto (Texas) 2027 wideout Ethan "Boobie" Feaster, who had racked up many of his up 28 offers as an eighth grader.

The speedy 6-foot-2 ninth grader gave a glimpse why on Saturday.

As the nationally ranked Eagles built a 47-point first half lead en route to a blowout 54-14 win over Texas Class 5A power South Oak Cliff that was ended early after an incident in the stands on Saturday, Ethan "Boobie" Feaster showed why he's was one of the receivers to log a big-play touchdown.

Feaster got behind the South Oak Cliff secondary in the second quarter, adjusted to catch an under-thrown ball and ran 25 yards unscathed into the endzone for the 58-yard score.

Here is a video of the catch taken by Juwan Davis of WeDemBos Media:

Feaster has been offered by the likes of Georgia, Arizona State, Arkansas, Miami, Michigan and more.

After receiving the Week 1 start out wide, he's managed to make an early impact on a team loaded with power five talent, including 4-star 2025 running back Deondrae Riden, 3-star cornerback Mario Buford (Nebraska commit), 3-star linebacker Brandon Booker (Stanford) and 3-star offensive lineman Ronnell McLain (Houston).

The play put DeSoto up 32-0 over the defending Class 5A state champion Bears (1-2), who also lost their season opener to nationally ranked Duncanville.

It was the third of four first half touchdown passes from quarterback DJ Bailey, a 2024 Sam Houston State commit.

DeSoto (2-0), the No. 2 ranked team in Texas and No. 11 nationally, returned for its first action since blasting Allen (Texas) to open the season in late August.
