Ziyare Addison sets Clemson, Florida State, Oregon official visits
Sumner (Florida) four-star offensive tackle Ziyare Addison is one of the nation's most coveted offensive lineman.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pound athlete, who also competes in track and wrestling, holds nearly 40 scholarship offers.
Hoping to better inform his eventual decision, Addison has scheduled several visits throughout the spring in the hopes of solidifying the schools that will earn official visits.
This weekend, that means a cross-country venture to California to check out Stanford and UCLA.
Stanford: "I feel like it's good people - just being on the phone with them. I'm looking forward to building a good relationship with them. I have a good vibe from them. I'm in California, so I might as well hit them up."
UCLA: "New coaching staff... coach Chip (Kelly) and (Tim) Drevno left. I had a really good relationship wtih them. But I talked with UCLA earlier (Tuesday). I really like their vibe. Excellent, excellent coaching staff... if ya'll don't know already. They are going to be just fine, especially with having a lot of NFL guys coming down. They just need to get the recruits in."
He will also visit Central Florida, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Nebraska, Oregon and Penn State.
"I'm just trying to build a relationship with all of these coaches and feel them out," Addison said. "Seeing if one of them can get an OV (official visit)."
"Right now, Miami, Penn State and Georgia are fighting for a spot, but I have three (official visits) locked in."
Those three schools are Clemson, Florida State and Oregon.
Clemson (May 31): I have a great relationship with Dabo (Swinney) and coach (Matthew) Luke. Coach Luke did an excellent job coming in, trying to play catch up, but he did a really good job and impressed me. The whole staff came down and watched film with me. Dabo is a down-to-Earth person and they are not switch-ups. They are how they are, and are good people. They are huge on Christ and I am as well. It's everything you want out of a program."
Florida State (June 21): "Coach (Alex) Atkins and coach (Mike) Norvell, those are my guys. They were my first scholarship. They saw the potential before everyone else. They all signed (long extensions) and kept the core staff, so I know I will have them when I get there. That staff is not going to go anywhere. It's just a great relationship that I've built over the past two years and I'm looking forward to getting back up there."
Oregon (April 27): "Another school that took an opportunity on me early. They saw my potential before everyone else. They saw me in a track and wrestling video and were really intrigued. It was my fourth scholarship. I have a great relationship with coach (A'Lique) Terry and coach (Dan) Lanning. They came down to see me. They are always talking about me coming up there for the first time. Now, I finally have the opportunity to do so."
While Nebraska hasn't yet earned an official visit, the Huskers are another program vying for an official visit slot.
"That's another school that could possibly get an (official visit)," he said. "I'm building a great relationship with them. They blow me up every single game. They really love me and love my play style. They see me as a player that could play early. I'm looking forward to getting up there, really looking forward to getting up there. They've got some great people - just by talking to them on the phone."
Rated the nation's No. 14 offensive tackle, Addison is clearly a top priority for multiple programs across the country and will be an intriguing player to watch going forward.

"Enticing offensive line prospect with developmental upside given growth potential and movement patterns. Measured roughly 6-foot-4.5, 280 pounds spring after junior season and is blessed with a near 6-foot-10 wingspan. Has played primarily tackle at the prep level, but ceiling might ultimately be highest at one of the guard spots. Still, is athletic enough to protect the corner with improved technique. Fires out of his stance and is quick to initiate contact. Frequently finds himself in control of his body and will seal off run lanes with impressive core balance. Can get caught reaching and lunging in pass sets, but does have the upper body strength to extend the arc when he gets his hands on an assignment. Should be viewed as a potential multi-year starter at the Power Four level that can play multiple spots up front depending on how the body matures. Will likely need a few semesters in the weight room before he's ready to go on Saturdays."
