Jordan Seaton commits to Colorado; Deion Sanders lands nation's No. 1 uncommitted prospect

IMG Academy (Florida) five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton chooses a school not previously in his top six

IMG Academy (Florida) five-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton entered the day as top uncommitted prospect in the country.

He also had a group of finalists that included Alabama, Florida, Maryland, Ohio State, Oregon and Tennessee.

Surprise, surprise!

On Thursday morning, the nation's No. 1 offensive tackle came off the board, and chose a school not announced as one of the six in the running: Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes.

“I’m coming to not only block for the Heisman contender, I’m showing you that wherever you go the work must get put in regardless," he told On3

Seaton's recruitment has been one of the most difficult to predict in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

For a time, it was believed to be a battle between Alabama and Ohio State, but the 6-foot-6, 290-pound lineman took fall visits to Colorado, Florida, Ohio State, Oregon and Tennessee.

Last weekend, Ohio State, always thought to be a primary contender, received a late visit, prompting "Seaton to Columbus" predictions.

Still, many speculated that one of his fall visit hosts, particularly Oregon or Tennessee, had done enough to sway the five-star prospect to make a surprise decision.

One of them did.

it just turns out to be Sanders' Colorado program.
