Jett White, All-American cornerback, visiting USC Trojans, set to announce commitment on national television

Edison (Florida) four-star cornerback Jett White was previously committed to the USC Trojans

Class of 2025 Edison (Florida) four-star cornerback Jett White has been high on the USC Trojans for some time.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound defensive back committed to USC in September 2021, then reopened his recruitment in January.

Still, White has been clear about the Trojans' standing all along.

They are a top contender.

"USC is USC, and will always be home to me," he said. "I committed early in my high school career. Although I decommitted, the love was never lost. My relationship with Donte (Williams) never got sour. He's (family), and USC is USC. They're definitely a contender in the marathon - it's not a sprint."

This weekend, White will return to Los Angeles for an unofficial visit, and he's eager to spend his birthday with his Trojan family.

"Just happy to be going home for my birthday," he said. "It will be a nice break."

White is rated the nation's No. 24 cornerback, but was recently ranked as highly as a top-five corner in America.

That ceiling makes him a compelling prospect, and one that has generated more than 40 scholarship offers.

Still, White is closer to ending his recruitment than checking out new options -and he's set a commitment date.

The dynamic defender intends to announce his decision at the All-American Bowl in early January on NBC Sports, becoming one of the first underclassmen ever to commit during the broadcast.

Will it be USC?

The Trojans have a chance to impress White further this weekend.
