Missouri Tigers basketball adds 4-star center to nation's top-ranked recruiting class

7-foot-2 center Trent Burns joined Missouri's top-ranked recruiting class in the country on Sunday

The future is bright for Missouri men's basketball.

Missouri already owned the title of No. 1 recruiting class in the country for 2024, and the Tigers just added to their haul with another highly-coveted prospect.

Trent Burns, a four-star center from Pro Vision Academy (Texas), announced his commitment to Missouri on Sunday, choosing the Tigers over other finalists Xavier, Tulsa and Rice.

Burns is the nation's No. 13 center and No. 79 overall recruit in the class of 2024, per the 247Sports composite rankings. The 7-foot-2 senior is also the No. 4 ranked senior in Texas.

The four-star Burns joins a Missouri recruiting class headlined by Little Rock Central (Arkansas) five-star forward Annor Boateng.

The Tigers also have pledges from four-star recruits Marcus Allen (Norland, Fla.), Peyton Marshall (Kell, Ga.) and T.O. Barrett (Link Academy, Mo.).

After playing for PSAT Academy (Texas), Burns will play his senior year with Pro Vision Academy.

Missouri, currently No. 1 in the team recruiting rankings for 2024, leads college basketball "blue bloods" such as No. 2 North Carolina, No. 3 Duke and No. 10 Kansas.
