Samara Lugo of Oregon City voted the WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week

Lugo received 61.05% of the vote, beating out Central's Hadley Craig, who finished second with 17%

Congratulations to Oregon City’s Samara Lugo for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 29-Feb. 4. 

Lugo, a senior guard on the Oregon City team, had 14 points, five rebounds and three steals in addition to playing standout defense for the Pioneers in their 54-48 win over West Linn in a key Three Rivers League game at Oregon City High School. 

Lugo received 61.05% of the vote, beating out Hadley Craig, a junior on the Central team, who finished second with 17%. Brooke McHaffie, a senior on the North Douglas team, was third with 11.67% and Clara Hudson, a senior on the La Salle Prep team, was fourth with 4.95%. There were nearly 6,000 votes tallied this week.
