Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Ava Barnett, New Hope Christian

The junior guard scored a game-high 26 points to help lead the Warriors to a 65-18 victory at Riddle in a Skyline League game.

Audrey Bayless, Jesuit

The junior guard scored a game-high 27 points for the Crusaders with six assists in a 68-58 Metro League loss at Southridge. She had 13 points and three assists in a 46-43 win over Beaverton and 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in a 46-28 win against Sunset.

Ava Bergeson, La Salle Prep

The sophomore forward/center averaged 29 points, 13 rebounds and five assists per game for the Falcons in Northwest Oregon Conference games against Hillsboro, Putnam and Milwaukie.

Paige Bittner, Sherwood

The senior forward, and a team captain, turned in a tremendous defensive effort in helping the Bowmen post a nonleague win over Union (Wash.) and Pacific Conference victories against Century and Forest Grove. 

Dakota Carson, Creswell

The senior guard had a big performance for the Bulldogs with 26 points, nine rebounds and four steals in a 62-38 victory at La Pine in a Mountain Valley Conference contest.

Hadley Craig, Central

The junior guard had a near triple-double for the Panthers with 16 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists in a 65-45 victory at Lebanon in a Mid-Willamette Conference game. She had 25 points and 12 rebounds in a 60-57 win over South Albany.

Kaylyn Fildes, Crook County

The senior post had a triple-double for the Cowgirls, tallying 14 points, 14 rebounds and 10 steals in their 55-50 win over Madras in a Tri-Valley Conference showdown at Crook County High School.

Sabrina Flowers, Sherwood

The senior, who leads the Bowmen offense through her play at point guard as well as providing strong defense, helped the squad get wins over Union (Wash.), Century and Forest Grove.

Kendra Hicks, Jesuit

The senior pulled down 18 rebounds, giving her more than 1,000 rebounds for her high school career, and scored eight points for the Crusaders in a 46-43 Metro League win over Beaverton. She had nine points and 13 rebounds in a 46-28 victory against Sunset and 16 points and 10 rebounds in a 68-58 loss at Southridge.

Clara Hudson, La Salle Prep

The senior forward scored 17 points and dished off seven assists for the Falcons in a 71-63 loss against Putnam in Northwest Oregon Conference action.

Julie Hull, South Wasco County 

The senior stepped up with a game-high 26 points to help lead the Redsides to a 43-36 victory against Ione/Arlington in a Big Sky League contest.

Jordynn Jones, Cascade Christian

The junior turned in a big double-double with 23 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and four steals in helping lead the Challengers to a 49-43 home win over Brookings-Harbor in Far West League action. She had 12 points, nine rebounds, five steals and two assists in a 32-21 victory against North Valley.

Samara Lugo, Oregon City

The senior guard had 14 points, five rebounds and three steals in addition to playing standout defense for the Pioneers in their 54-48 win over West Linn in a Three Rivers League game at Oregon City High School.

Sara Mangan, Southridge

The sophomore point guard had 23 points on a 56-percent shooting night from the field with seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in helping the Skyhawks earn a 68-58 win over Jesuit in a key Metro League contest at Southridge High School.

Brooke McHaffie, North Douglas

The senior post recorded a double-double for the Warriors with 23 points and 12 rebounds in their 57-29 home win over Southwest Christian in a nonleague contest.

Kaleah Medeiros, Westview

The senior had a team-high 20 points, two rebounds and a steal to pace the Wildcats in a 52-44 win over Mountainside in a Metro League game at Westview High School.

Hailey Monte, Gladstone

The junior wing had totals of 66 points (including a 29-point performance against Madras), 11 3-pointers, 11 rebounds, seven assists and three steals for the Gladiators in Tri-Valley Conference games against Estacada, Molalla and Madras.

Gabi Moultrie, Wilsonville

The sophomore guard scored a game-high 27 points, shooting 7 for 10 from 3-point range, with five rebounds, four assists and three steals for the Wildcats in their 84-15 win over Parkrose in a Northwest Oregon Conference game at Wilsonville High School.

Gretchen Orton, Jefferson (3A)

The junior guard poured in 27 points, sinking three 3-pointers, in helping the Lions run to a 57-44 win at Dayton in a PacWest Conference tilt. 

McKenzie Park, Days Creek

The senior had a double-double with 15 points and a whopping 24 rebounds for the Wolves in their 39-22 home win over Glendale in a Skyline League contest.

Karmen Perry, Lakeridge

The senior guard scored a game-high 18 points, all coming in the first three quarters, going 6 for 6 from the free throw line, and she added three assists, two steals and a block for the Pacers in their 46-33 win over rival Lake Oswego in a Three Rivers League game at Lake Oswego High School.

Rhegan Plikat, Camas Valley

The senior guard tallied a game-high 20 points with five steals for the Hornets in their 52-11 home win against Elkton in a Skyline League tilt.

Tali Sanders, Sherwood

The senior wing has made at least three 3-pointers each game the past seven contests for the Bowmen, including wins over Union (Wash.), Century and Forest Grove.

Sara Schmerbach, South Medford

The junior had a double-double for the Panthers with 12 points and 11 steals in their 70-15 win over South Eugene in a Southwest Conference game at South Eugene High School.

Hailey Schmidt, Pendleton

The senior scored 20 points, including 14 in the first quarter, helping the Buckaroos earn a 50-48 overtime win over Baker in a Greater Oregon League game at Pendleton High School.

Brynn Smith, Willamette

The junior guard poured in 30 points, sinking four 3-pointers, in helping lead the Wolverines to a 75-54 victory at North Medford in a Southwest Conference tilt.

Brook Tate, South Salem

The sophomore forward scored a game-high 23 points and added 11 rebounds for the Saxons in their 66-46 home win over Sprague in a Central Valley Conference contest.

Lydia Traore, Crater

The junior center had a double-double for the Comets with 14 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and two blocks in a 58-56 victory at Springfield in a Midwestern League showdown.

Vivian Vogel, Tillamook

The sophomore guard scored 29 points, shooting 5 for 8 from 3-point range, with four rebounds, two assists and three steals for the Cheesemakers in a Cowapa League loss at St. Helens. She scored 24 points against Scappoose.

Sage Winslow, Crater

The junior guard scored a team-high 28 points and had four steals for the Comets in a 58-56 win over Springfield in a Midwestern League showdown at Springfield High School.

Diamond Wright, Springfield

The junior tallied 28 points, tying her for game-high honors, in the Millers’ 58-56 loss to Crater in a Midwestern League showdown at Springfield High School.

Ella Wright, Glide

The senior turned in a strong all-around performance for the Wildcats with 21 points, eight rebounds and four blocks in their 58-31 victory at South Umpqua in a Skyline League contest.
