Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Central North Carolina high school football defensive football player of the week for Sept. 29 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote in our poll. You may vote as often as you like. HERE ARE THIS WEEK'S NOMINEES

Jamari Farmer, Mooresville: Farmer finished with 11 tackles, eight tackles for loss and two sacks in a 42-0 shutout win over Providence.

Cross Killen, Charlotte Christian: Killen recorded 14 tackles, three sacks, three tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in a 28-13 loss to Rabun Gap.

Tyrek Brown, Mallard Creek: Brown had 11 tackles and two tackles for loss in a 34-7 win over North Mecklenburg.

Harrison Johnson, Porter Ridge: Johnson had a 42-yard interception return for a touchdown, 14 tackles, two tackles for loss and two fumble recoveries in a 35-10 win over Marvin Ridge.

Ledarrion Menter, Northwest Cabarrus: Menter had six tackles, three sacks and four tackles for loss in a 49-9 win over West Rowan.

Sa'Mad Bell, Dudley: Bell finished with seven tackles and two sacks in a 77-6 win against Smith.
