Recruiting never stops for college football coaches. Even the night before a big game. 

With Missouri set to host South Carolina for an SEC battle on Saturday, Tigers head coach Eli Drinkwitz spent his Friday night watching his highly-coveted commit Williams Nwaneri take the field. 

Drinkwitz went to see the five-star Missouri commit Nwaneri and his Lee's Summit North (Missouri) team take on Park Hill, according to Rivals. 

Drinkwitz was reportedly joined by Tigers defensive line coach Kevin Peoples, the future position coach of the top-ranked defensive lineman in high school football.

The coaches watched a Nwaneri and Lee's Summit North (9-0), the No. 1 team in Missouri, picked up a 28-21 win over Park Hill to remain undefeated this season.

Nwaneri is the nation's No. 1 defensive lineman and No. 2 overall recruit in the class of 2024, per the 247Sports composite rankings. 

The five-star defensive lineman committed to Missouri in August, choosing the Tigers over Oklahoma and Georgia, among others.
