Texas high school football team wins game 90-0

Neighboring coach calls lopsided win 'nothing to beat your chest over'; Timberview had more than 70 first half points

Texas high school football team put up one of the more lopsided results of the 2023 season in a Thursday night district matchup.

Mansfield Timberview (8-0) beat Sunset (3-6) 90-0 in a District 5-5A Division I clash, in a final score that drew the ire of at least one neighboring coach.

"To beat a team you know can’t compete 90-0 ain’t nothing to beat your chest over," South Oak Cliff coach Clifton Todd said in a post to Twitter/X Thursday night. "What makes you laugh will make you cry."

More than 70 of those points came in the first half and the Wolves held Sunset to -22 yards of offense as a team.

Meanwhile, Timberview put up 477 yards of offense, led by running back Jaylon Woods' 119 yards on seven attempts and two touchdowns, and five Wolves scored rushing TDs.

Quarterback Zuric Humes completed 7 of 12 passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns for the Wolves.

Mansfield sits atop the district (6-0) before Richland (5-0) plays its Week 9 game.
