Each week during the 2023-24 high school boys basketball season, SBLive Sports will gather the best performances across the country with the help of fans, readers and staff.

Now, it’s your turn to choose a standout among the pack, the best of the best.

Here are the nominees for SBLive’s National High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 1-7. Voting closes on Monday, Jan. 15, at 11:59 (Pacific Time).

SBLive National High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week candidates

Daryl Adams III, jr., Landry (Louisiana)

Adams III scored a career-high 41 points and also added six assists as Landry rolled by West Jefferson, 90-66.

Joshua Backos, sr., Bloomfield Christian (Michigan)

Backos led the way with 36 points, four rebounds, three assists, four steals and three blocks as Bloomfield Christian edged Rochester Hills Christian, 67-62.

Alex Bruskotter, sr., Shelby (Ohio)

Bruskotter, a Wright State signee, had 53 points in an 84-61 win over Ashland.

Cade Cathey, sr., Sheridan (Montana)

Cathey netted 39 points in an 82-46 rout of Gardiner.

Ryan Ceh, sr., Mars (Pennsylvania)

Ceh piled up 34 points and 18 rebounds in an 85-73 win over North Hills.

Jordan Childress, sr., Rancho (Nevada)

Childress put up 41 points as Rancho cruised by Southeast Career Tech, 98-19.

Jason Crowe Jr., so., Lynwood (California)

Crowe Jr. was back at it in a 92-58 thumping of Dominguez, piling up 41 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and four steals.

Kellen Driscoll, jr., Glens Falls (New York)

Driscoll scored 30 points — including the 1,000th of his Glens Falls career — in a 96-61 rout of Cohoes.

Jack Dunbar, sr., Peters Township (Pennsylvania)

Dunbar made seven of Peters Township’s 19 3-pointers in a 102-38 thrashing of Connellsville. The senior finished with 31 points.

Cooper Flagg, sr., Montverde Academy (Florida)

Flagg came up one block shy of a triple-double as Montverde Academy took down Gonzaga, 93-51. The five-star Duke signee finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds, nine blocks and five assists.

Juke Harris, sr., Salisbury (North Carolina)

Harris, a four-star Wake Forest signee, matched his career high with 45 points as Salisbury blasted Davidson, 99-46.

Isaia Howard, sr., Plattsburg (Missouri)

Howard had 39 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks and four steals in a 65-57 win over Braymer.

Jack Loughrey, jr., South Hadley (Massachusetts)

Loughrey netted a career-best 38 points as South Hadley held off Belchertown, 73-67.

Jackson Owens, sr., Cleveland (Oregon)

Owens recorded a double-double with 31 points and 14 rebounds as Cleveland downed Benson, 72-62.

Travis Perry, sr., Lyon County (Kentucky)

Perry, a four-star Kentucky signee, led the way with 37 points as Lyon County rolled to an 87-74 victory over Warren Central.

Javen Poindexter, sr., Red Level (Alabama)

Poindexter had 47 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals in a 95-83 loss to Georgiana.

Isaiah Reiser, so., Copper Hills (Utah)

Reiser did a little bit of everything in a 75-70 win over Syracuse, putting up 28 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals.

Davis Reitzel, sr., Carroll County (Virginia)

Reitzel had 32 points and 10 rebounds as Carroll County blew by Alleghany, 91-61.

Eli Roberts, jr., South Webster (Ohio)

Roberts had 32 points, six rebounds and three assists in a 71-60 victory over Vinton County.

Ethan Roberts, sr., Scottsboro (Alabama)

Roberts poured in 40 points as Scottsboro defeated North Jackson, 83-53. The senior is the first Scottsboro player to hit the 40-point mark in back-to-back games.

Jackson Rocco, jr., Monomoy (Massachusetts)

Rocco netted 40 points in a 59-55 win over Barnstable.

Kase Wynott, sr., Lapwai (Idaho)

Wynott, a Utah State signee, recorded a triple-double with 47 points, 17 rebounds, 12 assists, five steals and four blocks in a 103-25 rout of Genesee.
