Iowa City West running back Butali Butali voted SBLive’s Iowa high school athlete of the week (10/16/2023)

The junior totaled more than half the votes

Iowa City West running back Butali Butali was voted SBLive’s Iowa High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 2-8. 

Butali totaled 2,242 votes (54.72%). Ankeny running back Caden Henkes was second with 860 votes (20.99%).

Butali had 214 rushing yards on 17 carries, helping the Trojans roll to a 58-8 win over Cedar Rapids Washington. 

Butali was one of eight players to score a touchdown for West.
