Here are the candidates for SBLive's Indiana High School Athlete of the Week as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Mason Bales, Northridge boys basketball

The junior hit two free throws with 2.1 seconds left to clinch a a 42-41 win against South Bend Riley and then scored 22 points in a 68-62 victory over Goshen.

Jack Benter, Brownstown Central boys basketball

The Purdue commit scored 28 points against Mitchell to pass the 2,000-point mark for his career.

Flory Bidunga, Kokomo boys basketball

The Kansas commit had 41 points on 14-for-16 shooting, grabbed 31 rebounds, had eight assists, blocked seven shots and added three steals in wins over Marion and Carmel.

Dezmon Briscoe, Indianapolis Attucks boys basketball

The junior had 28 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in a 62-49 win against Lawrence Central.

Lily Christianson, Penn girls swimming

The senior set four meet records at the Fort Wayne Carroll Invitational and broke four pool records at Concord.

Alex Couto, Carmel boys basketball

The junior knocked down eight 3-pointers and scored 28 points in a 59-51 loss to Kokomo.

Micah Davis, Franklin boys basketball

The senior scored a program-record 43 points in a 66-53 win over Bloomington North, and also had 11 rebounds and five assists. He also contributed 14 points, eight assists and four steals in a 78-28 victory against Beech Grove.

Marcus Fortner, Western Boone boys basketball

The junior scored 28 points, shooting 9-for-13 from the floor and 10-for-11 from the line, grabbed four rebounds and had three assists in a win against Southmont. He also scored 18 on 7-for-11 shooting in a loss to Fountain Central.

Julius Gizzi, New Palestine boys basketball

The junior scored 74 points on 23-for-36 shooting, grabbed 16 rebounds and had four assists in road wins against New Castle and Franklin Central.

Aydan Head, Henryville boys basketball

The senior averaged 22 points, 17 rebounds and three blocks in a loss to Charlestown and a win against Lanesville.

Jeff Huyvaert, New Prairie boys wrestling

The sophomore had 67 takedowns en route to going 4-0 at the Munster Super Duals.

Dominique Murphy, East Chicago Central boys basketball

The junior scored 22 points in a win against Chesterton and 26 in a victory over Michigan City.

Tyler Raasch, NorthWood boys basketball

The junior had 27 points and 20 rebounds across a pair of wins, 33-32 vs. Jimtown and 58-46 against Plymouth.

Joshua Renfro, Christian Academy boys basketball

The junior scored 43 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 91-46 win over South Central (Elizabeth).

Kira Reynolds, South Bend Washington girls basketball

The junior had a pair of double-doubles in wins over Elkhart (18 points, 10 rebounds, five assists) and John Glenn (14 points, 14 rebounds, six assists). She also had 17 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five blocks in a loss to Western Reserve (Ohio).

Isaac Schultz, Adams Central boys basketball

The senior scored 28 points in a 77-70 victory over Woodlan.

Jack Smiley, Valparaiso boys basketball

The junior scored 35 points in a win over 21st Century and 28 in victory against Elkhart.

Justin Smith, South Bend Riley boys wrestling

The senior was 4-0 with four falls en route to winning the 215-pound title at the Twin Lakes Invitational.

Drew Snively, Zionsville boys basketball

The junior had 27 points, five rebounds and four assists in a 62-51 win against Franklin Central and contributed 23 points and four rebounds in a 71-59 victory over West Lafayette Harrison.

Gage Worthman, Goshen boys basketball

The senior scored 46 points in two games, including a career-high 31 in a 63-52 victory against South Bend Clay.
