Here are the candidates for SBLive's Illinois High School Athlete of the Week as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Jurrell Baldwin, Hyde Park boys basketball

The senior had a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds, plus five assists and three steals, in a 49-46 win against Richwoods.

Ben Davino, St. Charles East boys wrestling

The senior moved to 19-0 by scoring a technical fall over Hersey's Maksim Mukhamedaliyev in the 132-pound final at the Al Dvorak Memorial Tournament.

Jaxson Davis, Warren boys basketball

The freshman did a little bit of everything in a 71-60 win over Joliet West with 20 points, six assists, four steals and a block.

AJ Demirov, Crystal Lake South boys basketball

The junior scored 40 points in a 73-67 overtime win against Cary-Grove.

Aydan Goff, Rock Falls boys basketball

The senior had 13 points in an 81-42 win over Stillman Valley and reached 1,000 points for his career.

Anestis Hadjistamoulou, Glenbrook North boys basketball

The junior had 21 points, four rebounds and three steals in a 47-39 victory over Watervliet (Mich.).

Laila Houseworth, Romeoville girls basketball

The senior scored 13 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in a 46-35 win over Lockport in the title game of the Oak Lawn Holiday Tournament.

Yaris Irby, Niles North boys basketball

The junior scored 33 points in a 91-77 victory against Taft.

Matty Jens, Grayslake Central boys wrestling

The senior is 17-0 after beating Libertyville's Matt Kubas 7-4 in the 175-pound final at the Al Dvorak Memorial Tournament.

Camrynn Jones, Polo girls basketball

The sophomore had a big day at the Polo Holiday Tournament. In a 35-28 win against Forreston, she had 15 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals. She followed that with 20 points, 24 rebounds and two steals in a 43-42 victory against Sterling Newman.

Antonio Munoz, Whitney Young boys basketball

The junior scored 15 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked five shots in a 70-67 loss to Lincoln Park.

Madyson Olson, Earlville girls basketball

The senior had a double-double off 11 points and 11 rebounds, plus four steals, in a 44-31 loss to Mendota. She also passed the 1,000-point mark for her career in that game.

Leah Palmer, Geneva girls basketball

The senior scored 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a win over Batavia.

Alec Schmidts, Barrington boys basketball

The senior hit six 3-pointers and scored 28 points in a 77-72 overtime win against Fremd.

Wyatt Schmitt, Joliet West boys wrestling

In a matchup of unbeatens in the 285-pound final at the Al Dvorak Memorial Tournament, the senior edged Round Lake's William Cole 2-1 on a tiebreaker to move to 11-0.

Cole Stuart, Freeburg boys basketball

The senior reached the 1,000-point mark for his career during a 67-56 win against Salem.

Davion Thompson, Bolingbrook boys basketball

The freshman had 49 points in a pair of wins: 32 vs. Lincoln-Way East and 17 against Hinsdale Central.

Chayse Turner, Lincoln Park boys basketball

The junior had a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds in a 70-67 victory against Young.

Carson Weber, Joliet West boys wrestling

The junior remained unbeaten at 18-0 after a 7-5 decision against previously undefeated Aaron Camacho of Bolingbrook in the 144-pound title bout at the Al Dvorak Memorial Tournament.

CJ Worsham, Christ the King boys basketball

The senior scored 21 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and had five assists in a 55-38 win against Leo.
