Robert Battle, QB, East St. Louis

A senior committed to Lindenwood University, Battle threw for 243 yards and four touchdowns in the Flyers' 54-7 win against visiting Normal Community West. Two of his receivers – Rico Bond and Christopher Bennett Jr. – topped 100 yards receiving.

Nico Bertolino, RB/DB, Belvidere North

Bertolino made big time plays on both sides of the ball to help lead Belvidere North to a 28-21 victory over Wauconda. On the Blue Thunder’s second offensive play, the senior broke free for a 98-yard touchdown. In the fourth quarter, Bertolino picked off a pass and returned it for a touchdown.

Charleston Coldon, WR, Althoff

Coldon was the go-to-guy in the pass game for the Crusaders during their 56-20 victory over LeRoy. The junior caught seven passes for 207 yards and three touchdowns.

Jake Curry, QB, Edwardsville

A Southern Illinois commit, Curry led the way for the Tigers during an impressive 48-14 victory over Glenbard West to advance to the 8A quarterfinals. The senior accounted for four total touchdowns, throwing for two and running for two.

Michael Dellumo, RB, Maine South

Dellumo led the offensive charge and a second half charge that helped Maine South to a 33-21 victory over a tough Belleville East squad. The junior accounted for three touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter to lift the Hawks.

Donovan Dey, RB, Carmel

Dey ran wild for the Corsairs during their 50-7 running clock victory over previously-undefeated Antioch. The junior racked up 229 yards and three touchdowns.

Conner Durkin, LB, Lincoln-Way East

Durkin led a strong defensive effort that led to Lincoln-Way East’s third straight shutout victory. The senior set the tone with a tackle for loss on the first play from scrimmage and the Griffins held Minooka to just 49 total yards (-4 rushing yards) to advance to the 8A quarterfinals.

Jack Elliott, QB, Mount Carmel

Mount Carmel was firing on all cylinders to take a 49-7 halftime lead thanks largely to an impressive effort by Elliott. The junior threw for four touchdowns and rushed for another to help the Caravan finish with a 49-15 victory.

Damian Glodz, K, York

Glodz converted a 30-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Dukes over Lyons 17-14. 

Dierre Hill Jr, RB, Althoff

Hill Jr. provided an early spark for Althoff’s offense during its 56-20 victory over LeRoy. The junior gained 177 yards on just nine carries and found the end zone three times in the first half.

Matt Larson, RB, Glenbard East

Larson had a performance to remember in Glenbard East’s 28-13 victory over Addison Trail. The senior rushed for 296 yards and four touchdowns on 28 carries to help the Rams advance.

Keshawn Lewis-Hunt, RB, Morgan Park

After facing an 11-point deficit at halftime, Lewis-Hunt and his teammates rallied for a 27-21 victory over Sycamore on Saturday. The senior rushed 18 times for 81 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner from 4 yards out with 6:29 left to play.

Carter Murphy, WR/DB, Breese Mater Dei

Murphy scored three touchdowns in the Knights' 27-18 win over visiting Johnston City 27-18 on Saturday. The junior caught two touchdown passes from quarterback Trenton Zeeb and returned a fourth-quarter interception 38 yards for another score.

Caden O’Rourke, DL, Lincoln-Way East

O’Rourke was a force in Lincoln-Way East’s 28-0 8A playoff victory over Minooka. The junior tallied three sacks and helped the defense hold Minooka to just 49 total yards.

Justin Scott, FB/DL, St. Ignatius

A five-star recruit committed to Ohio State, the 6-foot-4, 310-pound senior showed off his athleticism during the Wolfpack's 35-23 victory over Huntley. Scott contributed on several key stops by the St. Ignatius defense, and he rushed eight times for 68 yards and a touchdown with 6 minutes left to ice the game.

Kaleb Stanford, DL, Marian Catholic

A junior, Stanford highlighted an impressive Marian Catholic defensive effort during its 14-7 win over St. Patrick. Stanford scored on a 16-yard scoop-and-score TD that proved to be the difference.

Nate Stempowski, QB, Geneva

Stempowski was effective both with his arm and his legs during Geneva’s dominant 42-7 win at Lake Forest. The senior rushed for 115 yards and threw for 164 yards and two touchdowns.

Aaron Stewart, RB, Warren Township

Stewart carried a heavy workload for the Blue Devils during their dominant 51-20 victory over South Elgin. The sophomore rushed for 194 yards on 27 carries and scored a career-best four touchdowns.

Larevious Woods, RB, East St. Louis

Woods was a force in the backfield for the Flyers during their dominant 54-7 win over Normal Community West on Saturday. The junior rushed for 184 yards on 17 carries and three first half touchdowns to build a big early lead for East St. Louis. 

Trenton Zeeb, QB, Breese Mater Dei

Zeeb threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Knights past visiting Johnston City 27-18 on Saturday. Zeeb has thrown 24 touchdown passes this season and added 10 scores on the ground.
