Here are the candidates for SBLive's Illinois High School Athlete of the Week as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Logan Abrams, Cary-Grove football

The sophomore fullback ran for 90 yards and four touchdowns in a 49-6 Class 6A opening-round win over Libertyville.

Aden Bandukwala, Hinsdale Central boys cross country

The senior used a strong closing kick to win the Class 3A Hinsdale Central Sectional in 15:10.

Noah Battle, Downers Grove North football

The senior ran for two touchdowns, caught a 76-yard touchdown pass and had a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown in a 42-13 Class 7A first-round win over Kenwood.

Ryan Boe, Batavia football

The North Dakota State commit threw for 226 yards and three touchdowns and added 75 yards and another score on the ground in a 46-0 Class 7A first-round win against Brother Rice.

Aiden Clark, Naperville Central football

The junior had 250 total yards and four touchdowns in a 31-22 Class 8A opening-round win over Downers Grove South.

Constantine Coines, Maine South football

The junior threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns and added 52 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in a 35-0 shutout of Lockport in a Class 8A opener.

Ben Crane, New Trier boys cross country

The junior took first at the Class 3A Hoffman Estates Sectional in 14:53.

Dominick DeBlasio, Kaneland football

The senior rushed for three touchdowns and added a TD reception during a 56-20 Class 6A first-round win over Riverside-Brookfield.

Mason Ellens, Glenbard West football

The junior returned the opening kickoff 92 yards for a score and was a key contributor on defense in a 23-8 Class 8A first-round win over Naperville North.

Jack Elliott, Mount Carmel football

The junior threw for 164 yards and a touchdown and added 88 yards and a touchdown on the ground in a 39-10 Class 7A opening-round win against St. Rita.

Sidney Hamaker, Oswego girls volleyball

The junior had 13 kills in a 25-21, 25-19 win over Plainfield North in the Class 4A Plainfield North Regional final.

Carter London, Glenbard South football

The senior had 160 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries, including a 51-yard touchdown on the first play from scrimmage, in a 56-0 Class 5A first-round shutout of UIC Prep.

Donovan McNeal, Warren football

The senior rushed 15 times for 106 yards and two touchdowns in a 39-3 Class 8A first-round win over Oswego.

Logan Malachuk, Nazareth football

The junior threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another two scores in a 35-28 upset of previously unbeaten Prairie Ridge in a Class 5A opener.

Abby Markworth, Lyons girls volleyball

The senior had 28 assists and four aces as the Lions beat Downers Grove North 25-14, 23-25, 25-11 to win the Class 4A Riverside-Brookfield Regional.

Alessio Milivojevic, St. Francis football

The Ball State commit completed 20 of 24 passes for 296 yards and five touchdowns in a 45-14 Class 5A first-round win over Rochelle.

Josiah Narayanan, Wheaton-Warrenville South boys cross country

The junior won the Class 3A Lake Park Sectional in 14:43.

Arthur Palicki, Willowbrook football

The senior threw for 350 yards and three touchdowns and also added 91 yards on 23 carries in a 21-13 Class 7A first-round win over Yorkville.

Liv Phillips, Naperville Central girls cross country

The senior won the Class 3A HInsdale Central Sectional in 17:42.

Nicole Poglitsch, Wheaton-Warrenville South girls cross country

The junior led the Class 3A Lake Park Sectional from start to finish, winning in 17:20.

Nick Rhoades, Metamora football

The senior QB ran for 201 yards and two touchdowns and completed five of six pass attempts for 34 yards in a 36-14 win over Decatur MacArthur. Sophomore RB Jaiduan Cranford added 190 yards and two TDs on 21 carries.

Tessa Russo, Plainfield North girls cross country

The sophomore took first at the Class 3A Granite City Sectional in 16:53.

Terrance Sandidge, Crete-Monee football

The senior had 209 yards, scored four touchdowns and added two sacks in a 47-13 Class 6A first-round win over Champaign Centennial.

Ryleigh Stevenson, Ottawa girls volleyball

The senior had eight kills, three aces and eight digs as the Pirates beat the hosts 25-23, 28-26 in the Class 3A Streator Regional final for their first regional title in 28 years.

Scout Storms, Barrington girls cross country

The junior won the Class 3A Barrington Sectional with a time of 17:01.

Antwan Strong, Althoff football

The senior rushed 19 times for 369 yards and seven touchdowns in a 76-41 Class 1A opening-round win over Tuscola.

Devan Van Ness, Barrington football

The senior had five sacks and helped Barrington hold Glenbrook South to just 19 first-half yards en route to a 42-18 Class 8A opening-round win.

Camyn Viger, Plainfield South boys cross country

The senior won the Class 3A Granite City Sectional with a time of 14:12.

Armon Vinson, Belleville East football

The senior dual-threat QB passed for 114 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 30 yards and two scores in a 70-0 Class 8A first-round shutout of East Aurora.

Jack Wanzung, St. Ignatius football

The junior quarterback rushed for 227 yards and four touchdowns in a 39-6 Class 8A opening-round win over Joliet West.

Ian Willis, St. Francis football

The junior caught six passes for 51 yards and three touchdowns in a 45-14 Class 5A first-round win over Rochelle.
