The 11th week of the Georgia high school football season is in the books.

Now it’s time to voice your opinion on which player should be named SBLive’s Middle Georgia high school football defensive player of the week.

Read up on this week's five candidates below and let us know your pick. Voting will conclude on Saturday, November 4th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Middle-GA-Def

Zykeim Barham, Spalding: Barham was one of three Jaguars to come up with an interception in a win over Perry. The senior returned his interception 45 yards for a touchdown to help Spalding to clinch a region title.

Jerimia Collier, Jonesboro: Collier made play after play in a win over Alcovy. The sophomore racked up a career-high 19 tackles, including three tackles for loss and two sacks.

Holden Hajek, Harris County: Hajek continued his standout season in a shutout win against Drew. The senior had five tackles, including three tackles for loss and two sacks.

Brandon Lively, Burke County: Once again, Lively was a tackling machine for the Bears in a loss to New Hampstead. The senior finished with 16 tackles, marking the fourth game this year he’s had at least 15 tackles.

Kamren Reese, Stockbridge: Reese has had a special 2023 season, and this past week was his best performance. The senior tallied 10 tackles, including eight tackles for loss and three sacks.
