We've selected six candidates to choose from this past week's games

The seventh week of the Georgia high school football season is in the books.

Now it’s time to voice your opinion on which player should be named SBLive’s Middle Georgia Defensive Player of the Week.

Northgate senior Cade Bates was voted last week's SBLive Middle Georgia defensive player of the week. Bates came up with five tackles for loss and a pair of sacks in a win against Veterans. 

Read up on this week's six candidates below and let us know your pick. Voting will conclude on Saturday, October 7th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Brandon Chatman, Dublin: In addition to blocking a punt, Chatman made two sacks and two tackles for loss in a win over Charlton County.

Jaise Davis, Mary Persons: Davis was a playmaker in a big win over Prince Avenue Christian, recording an interception and a sack.

Zyaire Douglas, Aquinas: Douglas was a ball hawk in a win over Lincoln County, tallying two interceptions and two pass deflections.

Hollis Evans, Briarwood Academy: It was a busy game for Evans in a win over Brentwood. The senior registered 10 tackles, including two tackles for loss, and forced a fumble.

Brandon Lively, Burke County: Lively played a key role for Burke County in a win against Wayne County. The senior totaled 12.5 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss, and he forced two fumbles.

Adam Prince, Stockbridge: The senior wreaked havoc for the Tigers in a shutout victory against Mt. Zion, finishing with six tackles for loss and one sack.
