Congratulation to last week's winner: Matt Burleson of Telfair County.

Here are this week's nominations.

Tony Lotti, Seckinger: The wait is over. After starting off their young career 0-12 as a program, the Jaguars earned their first win ever last Friday night, defeating Oglethorpe County 43-22. Coached by Tony Lotti, the Jags can now turn the page and continue to build upon their program.

Jordan Mullis, Appling County: The Pirates scored a huge 17-14 win over Pierce County last Friday night in what was a battle of two Top 3 teams in Class 2A. Coached by Jordan Mullis, the Pirates, ranked No. 2, got the win over No. 3 Pierce County to improve to 4-1 on the season and 1-0 in Region 3-AA.

Barrett Davis, Evans: The Knights improved to 2-0 in Region 2-6A last Friday night after taking down Lakeside-Evans in a close one, 16-15. The Knights are coached by Barrett Davis and with the win are in great shape to earn a playoff spot out of Region 2.

Tommy Watson, Harris County: The Tigers earned arguably their biggest win of the season last Friday night after defeating Sandy Creek 28-19 to close out non-region play. Coached by Tommy Watson, the Tigers are riding a 5-game winning streak heading into the start of Region 3-5A.

James Leonard, Aquinas: The Fighting Irish improved to 5-1 on the season after taking down Lincoln County 28-21 last Friday night. The win also gives the Fighting Irish, who are coached by James Leonard, a 1-0 record in Region 8-A Division II.
