After another outstanding season of Florida high school girls basketball, it's time to give out awards in mass, starting with SBLive's all-state teams.

The main criteria for our end-of-season awards are players' overall impacts on winning, with an emphasis on individual statistics and team success relative to strength of schedule. Any other intangible or non-statistical contributions that substantially influenced team success were considered. Awards and achievements such as all-conference, all-league and all-district honors were taken into account as minor criteria, and players' postseason contributions were considered substantially.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR: G Trinity Turner - Dr. Phillips - Sr.

When you think of consistency and the road well traveled, Turner's resume matches up with just about anyone's Playing on a Panthers' club that lost four games, three of which came against out of state opponents, Turner showed her skill set versus every level. The University of Georgia signee led Dr. Phillips to the Class 7A state championship in a tight 53-46 victory over Colonial, scoring a team-high 16 points. For the season overall, Turner finished averaging 18.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 3.3 steals per game. Turner's play the entire season earned her the player of the year honors.

MEET THE REST OF SBLIVE FLORIDA'S FIRST TEAM ALL-STATE:

PG Jaloni Cambridge - Montverde Academy - Sr.

Playing a national schedule like Montverde Academy does definitely helps you see how you measure up against the best. Cambridge stepped up in the Eagles' biggest games and was a Gatorade Player of the Year nominee. The senior averaged 20.4 points, 8.5 assists, 6.6 rebounds and 3.1 steals a game. Cambridge has already signed on to play at the Ohio State University once her high school playing days have concluded.

G Khadee Hession - St. Thomas Aquinas - Sr.

The Georgetown signee was spectacular all season long for a St. Thomas Aquinas team that figured things out as the campaign progressed. So did the guard's numbers. Hession was obviously an important piece to the puzzle for the Raiders and their run to win another Class 6A crown. Her numbers speak for themselves as future Hoya poured in an average of 18.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 3.4 steals a game.

G Jasleen Green - Plantation American Heritage - So.

One of the state’s top sophomores all season long, Green looked nearly unstoppable in the Patriots' Class 5A state championship victory over Mainland. The guard led the way with 27 points, four rebounds and three assists. When it came down to her numbers for the 2023-2024 campaign, Green was second to none when it came to underclassmen. The guard averaged 17.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.9 steals per game for the 25-6 Plantation American Heritage.

F Kayla Nelms - Miami Country Day - Sr.

Undoubtedly one of the best players in the low block, not just in South Florida but in the entire. Helping lead the Spartans to the Class 3A state championship game, Nelms was a double-double machine all season long and her stats matched up to any frontcourt player. A Baylor signee, the senior power forward averaged a team-high 14.3 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.7 steals per game.

F Anovia Sheals - Mainland - Sr.

When teams faced Mainland, they knew they had to figure out a way to limit Sheals in the paint area. Problem was, not many were able to slow her down at all. Sheals scored 18 points and grabbed nine boards in the Class 5A state title loss to Plantation American Heritage. The Austin Peay signee averaged 18.9 points and 11.5 rebounds per game for the Buccaneers.
