IMG blanks St. John's Country Day baseball: Live score updates
The No. 2 and No. 3 three baseball teams in Florida will be on the baseball diamond together, Thursday, when IMG Academy hosts St. John's County Day.
IMG (7-1), ranked No. 6 in the SBLive Baseball Power 25, is back up to No. 2 in Florida after two impressive wins in South Florida last week, as the Ascenders knocked off Archbishop McCarthy and previously undefeated No. 4 Doral Academy.
St. John's is currently 7-0 and has scored a combined 27 runs in its last two games. The Spartans also on the verge of national ranking and a win at IMG would certainly enhance that cause.

- IMG improves to 8-1 and Noah Franco picks up the victory, working five shutout innings. He was a little wild, with five walks, but got the big outs when he needed the. He struck out five.
- Blake Larson worked a scoreless sixth inning, despite loading the bases, and Oki Hosakawa struck out a pair, while allowing one hit, in a scoreless seventh to lock down the win for the Ascenders.
- Noah Franco, Sean Gamble and Dean Moss each had two hits for IMG, with Gamble getting the biggest blow of the day, a 2-run double to center. Moss had the third RBI. Leadoff hitter Josh Campbell also reached base twice with a pair of walks.
- Kolt Myers was the only St. Johns Country Day Player with two hits and the Spartans only had three as a team. Catcher Hunter Rodgers also reached base twice with two walks. The Spartans struck out eight times.
- Austin Stratman suffered the loss for SJCD. He made the start and tossed 3.1 innings. He struck out six batters, but gave up six hits and walked three. He was charged with all three IMG runs.

- Gilson was St. Johns last hope, but he grounds into a fielder's choice for the final out of the game. IMG wins with a 3-0 shutout.
- Hosakawa goes right back to work and fans Alford on three pitches. Two outs.
- Myers singles to center for his second hit of the day giving the Spartans a base-runner.
- Hosakawa waists no time getting the first out. He strikes out Daneault on three pitches.
- SJCD will see a new pitcher in the seventh, as Oki Hosakawa comes on in search of the save. Larson allowed one hit and struck out one in a scoreless one inning outing for IMG.

- Hanson pops out to first to end the sixth. St. Johns will come up in the seventh need three runs to tie.
- Moss singles to left to give IMG a two-out base runner.
- Geile grounds back to Bradley who throws to first for the second out.
- Miller grounds out to open the IMG sixth.

- Larson, a TCU commit, works out of bases load, no out jam, getting Boylston to ground out to end the sixth.
- Larson fields a come-backer and forces to the lead runner at the plate. He then gets Sunderhaus swinging. There are now two outs but the bases are still loaded.
- Larson commits a second straight error for IMG, allowing Cole to reach and load the bases.
- Rodgers reaches on an error by third-baseman Modugno and the Spartans have two on with none down.
- Larson is greeted by a line single to center by Gilson.
- Franco's day is done as he is relieved by Blake Larson. Franco goes 5 shutout innings, allowing just one hit while striking out five. He also allowed five walks.

- Modugno cannot get the run home as he goes down swinging for the third out in the fifth.
- Gamble steals third.
- Gamble steals second before Moss pops out for the second out of the inning.
- Bradley strikes out LaLima for the first out.
- Gamble now has two hits as he opens the IMG fifth with a single.

- Franco escapes the jam by getting Alford to ground out to first. IMG continues to lead, 3-0. He still has only allowed one hit.
- Franco yields his fifth walk as Myers reaches to load the bases.
- Deneault takes Franco to full count and then is plunked. SJCD has two on with two down as it tries to get on the board.
- Boylston flies out to right for the second out.
- Sunderhaus gets a one-out walk, setting the table for the top of the order. Franco has now walked four.
- Franco continues to deal, getting Briggs for his fifth strikeout.

- On a 3-2 pitch Franco goes down swinging to end the inning. IMG adds another by SJCD got have fared worse. The Ascenders lead 3-0.
- Hanson is hit by a pitch to load the bases once again.
- Moss hits a fielder's choice grounder to second. Campbell is out at second, but Giele scores the Ascenders third run of the game. Runners on the corners with two down.
- Bradley walks the first bater he sees and the bases are loaded with one out.
- Stratman's day is now done. He throws 3.1 innings, striking out six, walking three, allowing two its and two runners. Miller and Geile are also his responsibility. Trevor Bradley is now on for SJCD.
- Miller singles to right-center, chasing Geile to third.
