Vote for the SBLive Sports Athlete of the Week

Here are this week's nominations.

Antwan Raymond, Football, Clearwater Academy International: One of the Sunshine State's breakout running backs of 2023 had a big performance on the road. Raymond rushed for 306 yards on 32 carries and scored four times in the Knights win over Brentwood Academy.

Landon Spanninger, Football, Lemon Bay: The game ended after just two quarters, but that gave Spanninger enough time to do some damage. The tailback rushed for 141 yards on a mere five carries and scored twice in a 28-0 victory over DeSoto County.

Jordan Durham V, Football, Zarepath Academy: Durham may be an unknown, but he put on a show this past Friday. The signal caller was 18-of-25 passing for 525 yards and five touchdowns in team's 58-6 victory over West Oak.

AJ Truiolo, Football, Spanish River: It was a pitch-and-catch kinda day for the Sharks' quarterback as Truiolo completed 7-of-8 passes for 173 yards and three touchdowns in Spanish River's 54-12 win over St. John Paul II Academy.

Champ Smith, Football, Jupiter Christian: The freshman quarterback's first name speaks to the kind of performance he just had. Smith completed 10-of-16 passes for 240 yards and three scores in a 45-10 win over Boca Raton Christian.

Winston Watkins Jr., Football, First Baptist Academy: A transfer from IMG Academy, the Colorado commitment has fit in just fine with the Lions. In a 48-46 win over Golden Gate, Watkins Jr. caught five passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns.

Sabby Meassick, Football, Tohopekaliga: Meassick makes it hard to not put him on this list on a weekly basis. The sophomore quarterback completed 30-of-43 passes for 587 yards and six touchdowns in a 42-0 rout of Celebration.

Jamarion Stephens, Football, Titusville: The running back had three touches and three touchdowns. You read that right. Stephens carried the rock three times and found the endzone on all three occasions in Titusville's 62-0 defeat of Space Coast.

Ramel Hernandez, Football, Melbourne Central Catholic: Hernandez made the very most of the opportunities he had through the air. The wide receiver hauled in six passes for 144 yards and three touchdowns in the Hustlers' 49-0 win over Father Lopez.

Jocarian Grant, Football, Cottondale: Grant got active in Cottondale's 52-30 victory over Wewahitchka as the tailback carried the ball 27 times for 236 yards and two touchdowns.

Salomon Georges, Football, Leesburg: Georges made it look easy in the Yellow Jackets' 55-7 win over Tavares. The quarterback connected on 9-of-14 passes for 193 yards and four touchdowns.

CJ Goldwire, Football, Oasis Christian: One of the top rushing performances came from Goldwire, who carried the ball 24 times for 301 yards and four touchdowns in a 52-34 win over Cornerstone Christian.

Juan Gainous, Football, Olympia: Oh my. Gainous had himself a day through the air for the Titans as the signal caller completed 10-of-15 passes for 362 yards and six touchdowns in a 61-7 win over Windermere.

Taylor Parks, Volleyball, Clearwater Calvary Christian: Parks finished as the Most Valuable Player of the Warrior Invitational Tournament and was also named to the All-Tournament Team.
