Houston's Mercy Miller snubbed from 2024 McDonald's All-American Game
The McDonald's All-American Game announced its West and East rosters for the boys' and girls' event Tuesday afternoon on ESPN.
Forty-eight total players will partake in the prestigious game. Twenty-four players were selected for each game, making up two, 12-player rosters for April 2 in Houston at the Toyota Center.
No. 1 recruit Cooper Flagg headlined the selections, but Southern California had two players selected in USC-commit Trent Perry of Harvard-Westlake and Arizona-signee Carter Bryant of Corona Centennial.
SoCal is also home to arguably the biggest snub from the prestigious game after Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks' Mercy Miller was not selected. Miller is committed to Houston and the son of rapper Master P.
Miller, who scored 68 points in a game earlier this season against Oakwood, is averaging 30.5 points, 10 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game this season for the 23-0 Notre Dame Knights. He recently had 29 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Harvard-Westlake.
Miller is the most underrated prospect in the country and was also left of ESPN's Top 100 2024 list made by Paul Biancardi.
It's the second year in a row that Notre Dame has had a prime McDonald's All-American candidate that hasn't been selected. Last year Caleb Foster, now at Duke, got snubbed.

Bryant, who's ranked 20th overall by ESPN, is averaging 17 points and 9.3 rebounds per game this season, and recently poured in a 39-point game in a big win over Eastvale Roosevelt earlier this month.
Harvard-Westlake star point guard Trent Perry, ranked No. 26 overall by ESPN, is averaging 17 points, six rebounds and six assists per game this season.
