Tyler Jones scores 19 points in the Monarchs' 64-61 victory in the National Division

SAN DIEGO — Tyler Jones scored a team-high 19 points to lift Archbishop Mitty over Montgomery 64-61 on Thursday night in the quarterfinals of the National Division for the Torrey Pines Holiday Classic presented by SBLive Sports.

Gavin Ripp added 12 points for the Monarchs who handed the Aztecs their first loss this season in 13 games.

Archbishop Mitty will face Carlsbad in the semifinals of the National Division on Friday.

JJ Sanchez had a game-high 21 points for Montgomery while teammate Xair Mendez finished with 19.
