Nik Khamenia impresses in Harvard-Westlake season opener

Nik Khamenia has offers from UCLA, Kansas and Gonzaga

STUDIO CITY, CALIFORNIA - Harvard-Westlake coach David Rebibo is not shy when speaking about junior Nik Khamenia.

Last season, Rebibo said Khamenia could be the best player he’s ever coached when he’s done at Harvard-Westlake.

The 6-foot-8 forward impressed in Harvard-Westlake’s 76-31 season-opening victory over Palos Verdes at home Tuesday night.

Khamenia scored just 11 points, but played half the game due to the lopsided score. Harvard-Westlake led 41-11 at halftime.

He made an array of mid-range jumpers against the Palos Verdes zone defense. Outmuscled his way to offensive rebounds and played under control.

Khamenia is ranked No. 52 nationally in the 2025 class according to 247Sports.com and currently holds a 4-star rating with offers to Gonzaga, Kansas, UCLA and Stanford.

Nik Khamenia is one of Harvard-Westlake’s top players.
