Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Southern California High School Athlete of the Week for Sept. 28-30 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Sunday at 11:59 p.m and the winner will be announced on Monday. Jacob Alvarado, Chino: Alvarado had six tackles and two sacks in Thursday’s win over Cerritos.

Dutch Horisk, St. John Bosco: Horisk had seven tackles and 3.5 sacks in Friday's win over Santa Margarita.

Cincere Rhaney, Gardena Serra: Rhaney rushed for 221 yards and two touchdowns, averaging over 11 yards per carry in Friday's win over Chaminade.

Bryce Whitley, La Habra: Whitley had 203 total yards and three rushing touchdowns in Friday's win over Buena Park.

Holden Nagin, Yorba Linda: Nagin tossed six touchdown passes in Friday's 49-20 victory over Canyon.

Elijah Brown, Mater Dei: Brown had 293 passing yards and four touchdown passes in Friday's Trinity League win over Servite.

Jaylen Moore, Westlake: Moore had 12 catches, 275 all-purpose yards and a touchdown reception against Simi Valley.

Evan Powell, Cajon: Powell had 224 passing yards, three passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown against Redlands East Valley.

Brady Nelson, Paloma Valley: Nelson had 314 passing yards, four passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in Saturday's win over Riverside Poly.

Vance Spafford, Mission Viejo: Spafford had seven catches for 102 yards and three touchdowns in Friday's win over Kamehameha Kapalama.

Bryson Beaver, Vista Murrieta: Beaver had 259 passing yards and five touchdown passes in Thursday’s win over Norco.

Shane Rosenthal, Newbury Park: Rosenthal had 12 catches for 290 yards and three touchdowns in Friday’s shootout against Moorpark.

Jordan Anderson, Newport Harbor: Anderson had nine catches for 125 yards and three touchdowns in Friday’s win over Huntington Beach.

Chance LaChappa, El Capitan: LaChappa caught six passes for 133 yards and finished with four touchdowns against Monte Vista.

Terrick Fisher, Rancho Bernardo: Fisher rushed for 250 yards and had three rushing touchdowns in Friday's four-overtime loss to Del Norte.

Hudson Herber, Grossmont: Herber passed for 552 yards and tossed six touchdown passes in Friday's win over Steele Canyon.

Matthew Barton, Mount Miguel: Barton threw six touchdown passes, connecting with five different receivers in Friday's shutout against Valhalla.

Jackson Diehl, La Jolla: Diehl passed for 200 yards and rushed for 133 yards against Mira Mesa. He scored four times on the ground and threw one touchdown in the 48-42 victory.

Tyson Line, Mira Mesa: Line passed for 374 yards and had four touchdown passes against La Jolla. He also rushed for 65 yards and scored twice on the ground.

Kade Wilken, Torrey Pines: Wilken finished with 10 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in Friday's road win over El Camino.
